Having stayed here on several occasions in the past, we witnessed an alarming deterioration in maintenance and hygiene: 1. Could not shower without flooding the bathroom, because the shower seals have degraded: falls risk 2. Mould in shower: health hazard 3. Broken washing machine that kept stopping mid-cycle. Clothes dryer's lint filter looked like it hadn't been cleaned for months: fire risk 4. Cracked ensuite basin 5. Broken air conditioner vent that is stuck pointed at your head all night, which gave me sinusitis. 6. Curtain not retracting fully, causing it to bang against the window all day long 7. Dirty blankets that aggravated our dust mite allergies - disappeared after we hand-washed them ourselves 8. Blood stain on bedsheet 9. Giant hole in chair - my daughter fell through and hurt herself 10. Half the kitchen lights not turning on 11. No mattress protectors, which is so unhygienic for a high-turnover holiday apartment 12. Used sanitary pad left in a drawer! And all of this was in a 'Superior' room @ over $700/night. Worst of all was the dismissive gaslighting by Lucy at the reception desk: 'You're paying for the view, not the room. It's an old building.' 'Nobody else has complained.' We agreed to document all the issues, but she didn't even acknowledge, let alone respond, to the email. Stay away from this place: it's a filthy, disgusting operation run by seemingly friendly, smiling but ultimately incompetent people. One the Esplanade, Q1, Viscount on the Beach and other nearby properties offer far better alternatives.

The ground floor is a great location however that is where it stops. This apartment is in desperate need to redecorating and repairing. The is a huge hole in the the worn out leather lounge, the walls and skirting boards are crumbly and in desperate need of paint and repair, there are tiles missing outside and the inside curtains have black mould on them and the Venetian blinds are dusty and rusty. We had the manager get the cleaner back in as the floors were still dirty and the windows were disgusting with hand and finger marks all over them just to name a few. This apartment is in an ideal location however it desperately needs money spent on it! The owner of this apartment must be greedy and stupid.. with all the other properties on the gold coast why would you expect people to stay here? We had to extend our stay due to flight issues but i couldnt wait to get home. Never again!!

We always stay at the same place on the Coast but decided to try something cheaper. This place didn't disappoint! A better view and more family friendly than the previous place. Close to the shops and restaurants. The sea view was outstanding and the rooms were perfect for what we wanted. Definitely coming back here

The hotel was beautiful and the view was amazing. You will have to bring your own toilet paper. The way it's set up with the keys is ridiculous. The staff thou were absolutely rude and mean. They were greedy and selfish. Won't be recommending them until the staff has changed.

An amazing property with the best location in Surfers a small complex which means minimal people in the pool and using the facilities. Stunning views in the beachfront apartment we stayed in. Close to surfers but not too busy, located opposite a patrolled flagged section of the beach. The property managers were extremely helpful, we can’t wait to stay there again!!

This is a well- located tower of apartments just south of Surfer’s Paradise. The views of the beach are good and the facilities are adequate but dated. The place could use a freshen up but, that said, it was clean and comfortable and well maintained.

Just stayed at Berkeley for 5 nights with my family if 5 (2 kids and an 8 month old). We stayed in the ground floor apartment where you literally looked out onto a grassed yard area, and then the beach! The apartment wasn’t anything flash, but had everything we needed. Was clean, kitchen was well equipped to cook (I was even cooking baby food!) and 2 bathrooms were great for the family. I liked: being on the ground floor meant easy in and out with a stroller ( 2 steps from our room door to foyer and then out - not dealing with lifts etc). Also meant you had more space outside with a patio, rather than a small balcony so plenty of room for the kids to play when baby is napping etc. pool- has been renovated and was just lovely. Heated and great loungers. Being in the ground floor meant the kids could run around the grass to our back little gate and access our apartment without needing the key swipe (this gate can be locked for safety/privacy). Had an indoor spa and sauna and shower/toilet facilities that were great. Location: we were 5 min walk to cavil street in surfers. So close, but just on the edge so it was a bit quieter. I loved my morning beach walks. Paradox coffee was my caffeine saving grace (about an 8 min walk from apartments). I did a Cole’s online grocery shop delivered that was very easy. Tram station just down the road ( took it to pacific fair, very easy). And that ocean beeeze was amazing. Management: Tom and Lucy were just lovely. So easy to deal with and helpful during our stay. Things to note: ground floor apartment has an excellent ocean view- mostly when standing though 🤣. There was shrubbery just outside the patio section that has grown tall enough to block ocean view. (The pics of the garden for ground floor apartment on here show the shrubs are barely there- but see my pic). There was a lovely outdoor lounge which I moved to where the gate was so I could sit and see the ocean with my morning coffee. Great views from dining table and kitchen though. The apartment - while had everything you needed) is not luxury! Reading some other comments on here I was well prepared for that. I knew I wanted ocean front, but had a budget so this place for the bill. But the pics of the ground floor apartment on here are pretty accurate. Good sized kitchen. Full fridge. The main bathroom was quite large- however it’s a shower with a very small bath at the bottom (fine for a kid but if you want a nice bath it’s not big enough) and the shower head was quite low. En-suite is the lovely green tile as per pics but shower is normal. It did have air con in each bedroom and over dining area/lounge. The kitchen lounge dining felt very spacious, with 2 large dark brown leather couches that were comfy. This apartment was great for a family as nothing too fancy to worry about the kids. Tv had foxtel and live tv. We brought up our laptop with a HDMI cable and with the wifi, was able to watch our streaming apps (great for the kids ha!). There w
