Four Seasons Hotel at the Surf Club, Surfside, Florida

We go to Miami every two years. We usually stay at Faena, but this time we decided to make a change and stayed at the Four Seasons Surfside. The hotel is very new and beautiful, the rooms are very spacious, and its design is quite relaxing. The restaurants and food were very good. The staff were very attentive. I think the fact that it was not overly crowded was definitely an advantage.

This review is for the Restaurant The Sur Club. Being a huge fan of Thomas Keller, I wanted to try this restaurant in The Four Seasons Hotel . We were greeted immediately and escorted to our table. We did not like the location of the table, it was a booth . We requested a table with 4 chairs. They immediately took us to another table which was much nicer. The maitre D immediately came, introduced himself and they gave us the menu. We Sommelier was very knowledgable. We started off with Champagne and then moved on to an amazing wine, which was recommended to us. We tried a lot of appetizers family style, to sample as much as we can. I can honestly say each one was better than the other, the fois gras was the top winner. As an entree I split the Dover sole, which was excellent. The bottom line is this restaurant has delicious food, without foreign and weird ingredients. Everything was done to perfection. the service was not stuffy but very professional. I can't wait to go back. I give it my GoldnAdvice seal of approval.

Got an early Saturday reservation, had to sit at cocktail table in bar. Table way too small for 3 people having dinner. Live music lovely and staff very attentive. I think I expected too much of the food bc of the ratings of this place. But my palet left disappointed. The fresh bread and butter delish as is complimentary crudite. The Fois Grois appetizer was $48, small and not as good as many we have had. Cherries didn’t really pair well with it. The candied bacon tasted more like baked ham, two tiny pieces for $22. The Beef Wellington is a nice presentation, again lacking flavor and $160 for 2 people. Rib eye was delish, but $120 for small trimmed piece. The fettuccine Alfredo with truffle was ok. New York cheesecake was tiny and not true NY style and consistency. For $700 for 3 with no alcohol left thinking it was not worth the $. Sorry to all of you Keller devotees.

Without a doubt the best FS experience we have ever had and the most expensive. The building itself is so full of character and in such a wonderful area of surfside. Rooms are well appointed with all the mod cons and the most comfortable FS beds ever. Service on point pre stay, stay and post stay and exceeded all of our expectations. The area is not the cheapest area to frequent, and we were taken aback from some of the ridiculous pricing. However if you buy a ticket..... The main dining room area and bar is simply breathtaking with a wonderful service team. Simply exquisite!!!

This review does relate to The Champagne Bar at the Four Seasons Surfside in Miami. Visited the location for lunch and were not disappointed. Excellent service, a nice selection of champagne by the glass and very good food from a smaller lunch menu. Well presented, tasty and overall, simply good! It was a very enjoyable lunch and we would definitely return if given the opportunity!
