We booked three nights at this beautiful hotel and loved it so much that we extended for another night. It’s very peaceful and the views over Lake Garda are spectacular. The breakfast is lovely with lots of healthy options, and both the more formal restaurant and bar dining options are really good. We spent plenty of time on the sun terrace, being very well looked after by the bar staff whilst watching the stunning sunset. Big shout out to Michele at the bar who was super friendly and professional. We used the gym each morning, which is a good size and wasn’t busy at all (had the whole gym to myself one morning). There are two pools.. one for exercise and the other, which is an infinity pool overlooking the lake, heated to over 30 degrees and perfect for floating around in at the end of an active day! The spa is also excellent, treatments were great. Plenty of things to do in the local area.. we played golf at a local course, (they have a short one and a professional one) and hired e-bikes from the hotel to explore the nearby trails. Also lots of hiking routes available. The village at the bottom of the hill is right on the shores of the lake and has some lovely lunchtime restaurant choices. We enjoyed cycling to this village for lunch a couple of times. E-bikes definitely needed for return up the hill! Just a couple of things to bear in mind if you are considering a stay with activities similar to ours. (But don’t let this put you off.. it’s just a learning experience!) We weren’t told by the ladies on the reception desk that the trail we planned to cycle along was actually only really fit for world champion mountain bikers. It was a challenge! Steep and rocky and most people would have cried at the prospect of cycling up/down certain parts of it. I nearly did, but managed to hold it together. They also didn’t mention that wild boars are sometimes present in the trail next to the hotel, so our seemingly lovely, ‘chit chat along the way’ pre-breakfast stroll turned into a horror story when two boars ran across the path in front of us. My husband found a huge stick and was ready for battle, but after a quick check on ChatGPT about what to do if you encounter a wild boar, we soon realised that was the actual opposite way to respond. It all turned out to be ok and we didn’t see them again, but still!! Overall though, a wonderful stay and we will return. May just skip the early morning forest walk 🐗

This is just great, beautiful views, clean and well proportioned hotel, excellence service. I will do a restaurant review separately but the breakfast every day was quality, so much choice and so tasty. The room itself was big, clean, well laid out, loved the veranda area and the sofa. Te bed was comfy and the staff servicing it were excellent. The bar area was nicely laid out and sadly as we were ill for most of the time here we didn’t use it as much as we usually would. The one night we considered going for a drink a rather loud (maybe felt louder due to us feeling rough) piano player meant a peaceful drink was not an option so we passed. The pool area or areas were again very peaceful and if u want to just get away and relax they are perfect, you also get to see the robot mowers at work struggling to get round sunbathers personal effects, which can be amusing. Laura on the front desk was excellent, very helpful as was one of her male colleagues (very sorry forgot his name). My only piece of feedback from the front desk is that there was a mix up with the hotel around getting a taxi back from Garda, now we don’t speak Italian so I get that mistakes happen, however when the driver turned up we found out the hotel front desk blamed us for the mix up, even though my wife said 3 times we were in Garda. Don’t mind mistakes but when my wife is asked whether we are in Torre and she says no in Garda and the taxi driver is sent to Torre and then we are blamed (he showed us the text) that is not good. We also hired the F500 which was great and popped out for a little wine tasting, and again big shout out to the front desk as we did mess the, about in terms of hiring it, due to not feeling very well. I would highly recommend this place, it’s an oasis of calm, overlooking a beautiful lake in Italy.

My partner and I have had the pleasure of staying in some truly exceptional hotels over the years, but Cape of Senses in Lake Garda stands out as one of the best we’ve ever experienced. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was exceptional – warm, attentive, and always one step ahead. The staff’s attention to detail was truly second to none, making us feel both relaxed and completely looked after throughout our stay. The hotel itself is a masterclass in design – with a sleek, cinematic style that felt like something from a James Bond film. Think dark, elegant interiors, ultra-premium fixtures and fittings, and a sophisticated atmosphere that caters to guests who appreciate refined luxury. The grounds are immaculate, perfectly manicured and maintained. But the real showstopper? The views. Set high above Lake Garda, the hotel offers breathtaking panoramic scenes of the water, framed by mountains. Watching the sunrise or sunset from the terrace is nothing short of magical – a moment that stays with you long after you leave. The food was absolutely outstanding – possibly the best we’ve had in any hotel. Every dish was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The coffee was next-level, and while a couple of cocktails varied slightly depending on who was behind the bar, the overall standard was fantastic. Although this was a work-related trip, we were made to feel like valued leisure guests, and I genuinely believe the service we experienced reflects the standard for everyone who visits. It’s also just a short taxi ride into Garda town, and the hotel will happily arrange transport for you. In summary: Cape of Senses is a gem. Elegant, peaceful, luxurious – and truly deserving of its name. We feel incredibly lucky to have visited and would return in a heartbeat.

Rudest staff and most unwelcoming 5 star I’ve ever stayed in. Every request was treated like an imposition and they always wanted to say no before yes to the most simple of requests. You feel like you’re coming back to angry parents instead of being treated like paying customers. Beds are not comfortable and rooms feel rather basic and not high end. The whole vibe is cold and stark and not in any way cozy or feeling like you’re at home. Would never stay here again. I’ve traveled to 100’s of 5 stars and this is probably among the worst compared to price.

I booked my vacation for my family but only once I checked in on line they canceled my booking because my daughter is under 14. They were willing to let me stay if I had my friends daughter stay with us instead of my daughter because she was 13 turning 14 in September. What’s the difference. This is ridiculous. So I asked for a refund and they refused.

Just finished a three night stay at this spa. Rooms are impeccable, clean and spacious. The view of the lake from the balcony adds to the magic of this relaxing retreat. The staff are happy, friendly and do anything to help make this a wonderful stay. The pools are magnificent as well as the grounds and the spa. All photo worthy and add to the luxurious experience The only reason I gave this a 4 star instead of 5 is because of two areas needing improvement. 1- the food is very average overall of I am to compare to other 5 star resorts. Breakfast is the same every day , bar menu is not tasty and dinner was very mediocre. 2- there is no one to service the pool area. It would be nice to have some attendants offering food and drink. It would add to the revenue and also add to the experience. There is also no one to decide the spa locker room or the spa area. Besides these issues we would certainly return! 2-
