Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa

11 nights of being treated like a member of a huge family. From arrival into a luxurious fully accessible room, to our last evening. Nothing has been too much trouble. My dietary requirements were catered for. We even sampled room service..

Stopping by again today at our all-time favourite hotel for an excellent lunch and some book editing. Perfect sunny day for a treat, with the wonderful Bence looking after us in the bar with drinks, club sandwiches and delicious smoothies! We were so spoiled, we didn't want to leave. My husband and I stayed one night for our twentieth wedding anniversary. I think compared to other hotels I’d looked at it seemed good value. Friendly staff (especially our waiter at dinner, I can’t recall his name but he was from Hungary). We were given an upgraded room which was huge. The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner (bathtub). The food and drinks were very good quality. The grounds were gorgeous and we went for a long walk. The spa was quite crowded tbh. Didn’t have treatments but used hot tubs etc. I would return.

We have just had an exceptional 3 day break at Alexander House! We booked the Gate house for a special experience as we were celebrating (young) 60th birthday! So for the review: from the start I messaged the hotel to advise we had a special occasion, and they responded to say Hi we are here for whatever you need thank you Rebecca. Arriving on Friday at the gate house, which is a bit special two bedroom two bathrooms the main suite being very luxurious. We had a hamper of warm bread and jam, selection of fruits.delivered l! The fridge was stocked with milk juice and water plenty of.... That evening we spent in the spa (relaxation begins) where we were warmly welcomed by the team, who booked our treatments for the following day! Day 2 we had our breakfast hamper delivered, which was lovely because it meant we could eat when we wanted - headed off to the spa where we all had an amazing massage which we ALL really enjoyed! Fast forward, after relaxing country walk - we cooked up the delivery of food which was lovely Spent the evening chilling in the lovely gate house hot tub which was super. Sunday again we got a delivery of food but chose to go for a walk & eat later, after the most beautiful long walk we arrived back, and stopped by the bar for a lovely cocktail, the bar tender was very welcoming again spending Sunday evening in the spa - which has a good selection of areas sauna, steam hot tubs, pools ect Deciding we needed to check out the breakfast in main house which is absolutely beautiful, again we were warmly welcomed the food was lovely with good breakfast selection! Just checked out and feeling like we had an amazing chilled break... thank you to all the team for making things special we will be back

From start to finish, our stay at Alexander House was absolutely amazing. A special thank you to Malcolm for the incredibly warm welcome, it really set the tone for our stay. The spa was beautiful, and we thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing day there. Dinner was delicious, and our room was simply gorgeous, thank you so much for the lovely upgrade! The bed was unbelievably comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud, and the breakfast the next morning was exceptional. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients, the scrambled eggs were honestly the best I’ve ever had! We also had a wonderful massage in the morning, and Helen was absolutely amazing. We left feeling renewed, refreshed, and completely pampered. We’ll definitely be returning soon, and next time, it’ll be for more than just one night!
