my favorite hotel in the world! we go every year for my birthday in October and it is so special. service is always amazing, the staff are some of the nicest people you will meet. rooms are cozy and clean. food is excellent. we will continue this tradition forever! plus we got ENGAGED this year near the river at the hotel. thank you!

I just had my wedding at the Sonnenalp this last weekend. I have always been smitten with this hotel but the way they surpassed my expectations over these last nine months of planning as well as the weekend itself has permanently embedded this place in my heart. From top to bottom, the staff was exceptional. Helpful, friendly, professional, and warm. The facilities are always top notch while remaining true to the original charm of the place. They worked hard to accommodate my wedding wishlist and the execution of the event was exceptional. I am so so very grateful.

The Sonnenalp exemplifies the ultimate in European charm, thoughtful hospitality, and a cozy residential atmosphere. We love room 404 with the split-level layout for kids upstairs and adults downstairs, views of the pool and mountains, and lots of natural light. We love Ludwig's for breakfast with the cheerful staff and bountiful buffet, and Bully Ranch for lunch or dinner where we watched the Kentucky Derby and Avs game this weekend. The well appointed property is magical and every detail is just so. We'll return again and again. Thank you for our wonderful stays thus far.

Fantastic stay at Sonnenalp. The hotel is stunning and one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed at. I cleaned for a living and I can't help but notice when things are not cleaned. I'm sure this hotel would pass a white glove inspection. The breakfast was wonderful. Since we went during mud season (slow season) they no longer had the buffet option but they did give us a $84 credit ($42 dollars person) toward the breakfast, which was delicious. Staff was so attentive and friendly, and the Spa was amazing. Would stay here again and again.

This is a review about how my husband and I regretted not staying here this year. We stayed at the Sonnenalp last fall, for our annual getaway, and absolutely loved it. It felt so cozy and romantic. For some reason, we thought we would try another resort this year. We truly regretted not choosing the Sonnenalp again. It can be difficult to get away as parents with small children, so you want your trip to be special and memorable. The Sonnenalp delivered on that when we did get to stay there. It is such a special place: so comfortable, beautiful, and just a gem of a resort. Looking forward to staying here next time!
