Everything was fine, only one day there was no water

Cockroaches and Horrible Customer Service. Do not stay here! I've stayed at Marriott properties for years for both work and vacation and this was by far the worst experience ever. On the second night of our stay at 10PM we saw massive cockroaches on our walls. My kids ran outside onto the patio to find more right outside the door. My husband spoke to the front desk and their only options were a new room or for maintenance to come and kill them. Knowing we had already seen multiple cockroaches, we were not interested in staying so we ended our vacation early, checked out and drove home but were told the manager would be contacting us the next day to rectify the situation. We spent the next 13 days calling to try and reach a manager but were never allowed to speak with one. A couple days later we were only refunded half of our night (when we had technically only stayed from 4-10PM) but still never received a call. When my husband finally got through to the front desk, they were rude and said offering us half was more than fair since they offered to move us to another room. No apologies and no care that their hotel is infested with cockroaches. When we lodged a complaint with Marriott HQ they assured us a manager would call us within three business days. After 8 days we called back and were told the hotel was unwilling to speak to us and their decision was final. Do not stay here - it is unclean and the customer service is horrible! Ruined our vacation and wasted hours of my life calling repeatedly.

Pros- Great view and sound of the waves from balcony, and great location on the beach and boardwalk. King studio suite was a decent size. Staff we encountered were all nice. Relatively nice looking room (except the tub had a lot of staining). Good to have the parking garage attached. Cons- Breakfast had limited healthy options. There wasn’t much of an indoor/outdoor lobby to hang out in because most of it is designated for the restaurant.

This is a nice oceanfront hotel. There are many positives, but some negatives. Positives: 1. Easy beach access, 2. restaurant with good food, 3. Indoor and outdoor pool, 4. breakfast included (albeit, very small cereal bowls), 5. nice decor, 6. friendly staff (for the most part), 7. fitness center 8. small kitchenette with extra sink in the room. There probably are more positives, but let's move on. Negatives: 1. hotel lobby is kept frigidly cold, 2. beds are uncomfortable. The hotel went under renovation recently. I'm not sure if the beds were new, but if so, the ones in room 1104 got beaten up by the time we arrived. 3. storage space is severely lacking in the room. How about more drawers to unpack. There are two small drawers in the dresser, one tiny drawer on the nightstand, and one drawer in the kitchenette, 4. dirty bathroom floor upon arrival. 5. The last thing I would like to mention are the hotel luggage carts. Upon arrival, many people were checking in, so there were no carts for us. We had take about 4-5 trips from car to room with our luggage. Because this was a busy check in time, we understood that the carts were being used. BUT, the day we checked out, we wanted to get an early start on the road. There were no carts at 6:30 a.m.!! We again had to take about 5 trips to the car. The whole time, we did not see one person with luggage on a cart packing their cars to leave. People either had to take the carts early to their rooms for departure significantly later, or had taken the carts the night before. We were not the only ones carrying and dragging our luggage. There was another older gentleman doing the same thing. We had suggested to the man at the front desk to have a system where you can only use a cart for a period of time, say 15 minutes. He looked as if he couldn't have been more disinterested in what we were saying.

This hotel is clean, comfortable, and full of amenities. The pools are clean, the restaurants on site are affordable and no complaints on food, the breakfast buffet is delicious.
