Since the refurbishment and re-branding of the hotel, we were one of the first people to stay in it. The villa we stayed in was wonderful with a sea view. The service from start to finish, from the reception to the waiters to the Manager was exceptional. I must specially mention the manager Rajeev, who made sure that our every need was met. Finally the food, which was excellent and specially curated for us. Thanks much to everyone involved!

Steiner College selected Clove Beach as the venue for our recent staff training and day out. The agenda combined outbound training, networking, relaxation, and “Teachers Got Talent”, and the hotel provided the perfect setting for all of it. From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff welcomed us warmly with a special ceremony. Throughout the program, they were attentive and supportive, making sure every activity ran smoothly. An amazing villa was allocated for changing, and the swimming pool session was a highlight of the day. Lunch was an ideal spread with live BBQ action stations, which everyone enjoyed. For our “Teachers Got Talent” segment, the hotel arranged a beautiful venue that enhanced the atmosphere and brought energy to the event. We are grateful for the surprises, hospitality, and seamless service the hotel team provided. We highly recommend Clove Beach for corporate training, staff outings, and team-building programs.

One of the worst holidays we have had. It was like a building site. We were not informed by hotels. Com that there was going to have major refurbishment. I enclose photos of when this took place. The only room that was good was our room. We had to have breakfast. In our room as there was no restaurant. No bar. No nothing.

Has anybody seen the movie The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. Well, this was worse. It was like a building site. Facilities which includes restaurant, bar, swimming pool, spa, gym, tennis court, lobby, lounge, etc were not available. We were not notified of any of this building work. We were told that we had to have breakfast in the room. There was also no room cleaning. Total shambles !

Wow what a hotel, nothing is too much at this amazing hotel. The staff are incredible and so friendly and attentive. Manjula was our butler and wow what a fantastic butler he was. He will go a long way in this industry ❤️ this hotel is definitely one to go too and not to missed out on. Our villa was clean, had our very own little pool on the patio which led onto the beach. Super spacious and upstairs balcony too. The bathroom ❤️ incredible I think enough said we shall definitely be returning. Lorna & Andrew 🤗

The resort is beautiful and located in a stunning setting. We stayed at this property for one night in one of their ocean-view villas. Our room was clean and comfortable. However, the property could use a bit more maintenance, and the hotel reception looked rather dull. We didn’t have Wi-Fi in the room, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the food and drinks were excellent. Our butler, Manjula, was very kind and provided fabulous service. However, our villa lacked privacy. The ground staff could be seen walking past the villa, even when we were in the private pool or the living area.

We had a great experience at Serene Pavilion during our visit. From the front desk all the way to the checkout the process was seamless and smooth. The Villa was well maintained and spotless. The staffs attention to detail is spot on and our butler "Menuka" made our stay an amazing one! 5 starts to Menuka for providing an excellent friendly service, attending to all our needs just one message away. He made sure to go above and beyond to provide us with everything we need to make us feel comfortable. The chefs prepared delicious food both yummy and appealing to the eyes. The amenities at the property were great and upto standard. Highly recommend for a couple looking for a private, relaxing getaway not too far from Colombo.

This property is designed to take care of your every need. You have a personal butler who you work with for everything—dining, outside excursions, a drink by the pool—and they do an excellent job. Our butler was Menuka and he was wonderful, helpful, and kind. We stayed on the property for the most part and chose to do all of our meals there because we liked the food and the convenience. It is a very small property and quiet so if you are really interested in disconnecting, this is a good choice. We also found our room very inviting and the bed was comfortable. The ocean was only a few steps away and there is a large pool on the property and a private plunge pool at your room. We would stay here again.
