from the moment we arrived we were greeted with the wonderful team at the hotel and enjoyed a warm, personalised check in. The hotel is just beautiful made more so with the gorgeous christmas decorations. The bedroom, lounge and bar area were impressive, the attention to detail was clear. We dined in the restaurants both nights of our stay and the food & drink selection was excellent. The hotel maintains a that personal service, it never felt busy or rushed even though it was full. All the staff were friendly, professional and knowledgeable- we can’t wait to return would love to experience the grounds in the summer to savour the views & location !!

Had a wonderful lunch overlooking the lake and a lovely trip on the Albatross captained by Rob and Pete. They provided lots of local knowledge on the sights along with a good dose of humour. Great day out and even dodged the rain ! First class hotel with a real emphasis on quality and service.

We had a beautiful lunch at the Terrace Langdale Chase for my mother in laws birthday. The food and view was fantastic but it was made extra special from the incredible service we received. Callum welcomed us and brought a lovely birthday surprise out. We can’t thank you enough. You made her day.

The hotel is an absolute dream along Lake Windermere. The grounds are beautiful, the accommodations have everything you could want. The restaurant on site is delicious! We took a cruise on the lake on the Albatross, our captains were Rob and Pete and they were outstanding. Gave us a lot of history and background. I can only recommend it!

A fabulous second visit to this amazing hotel. The views are simply stunning, the decor classy, the service superb. But what made the trip so special this year was the wonderful boat trip on the Albatros cruise. The history of the boat is evocative and Rob and Pete were informative, warm and professional. They knew so much about the Lake and the local area and Rob was so obliging when my husband wanted to steer the boat. He found the perfect balance of chatting, keeping him right on the temporary captain job (!) and allowing us to take in the breathtaking scenery. Thanks Rob! It really was the most perfect day, I smile when I think of it - the boat trip is lodged in my mind as a very special memory. A lovely birthday treat from my husband and I’m wishing I was back there already.

Had a wonderful reaxing couple of nights at Langdale Chase, we were well looked after and the suite was stunning, fabulous views of the lake and immaculately clean. We had a trip out on the albatross with Rob and Pete crewing, great welcoming pair who were a wealth of information, it was a very relaxed and enjoyable experience. It was my wife's birthday celebration combined with her retirement and we were very well looked after.
