Very historical and charming ryokan but most things are dated. The services are very good and the onsen can be better as the outdoor onsen is rather small.

Full of history. Staff is very personable and helpful. The meals are not only delicious but also work of art. Enjoyed the sulphuric onsen. Not many eating places are opened nearby when we were there. Good to book accommodation with meals.

Even though we called the hotel stating that we would be late for the check-in and dinner as there was heavy snow in the highway. The staff postponed it to 730. However, the snow was so heavy, we lost our way in town and we arrived at 8:10. The staff saying that we were too late and rejected to provide any food for us. we had to walk downhill to the town to find our own dinner. however, on the second night of our stay, we noticed that the other guests were having dinner at 9:10 when we passed by the restaurant. We know that we were late, but I believed that hotel is in the hospitality industry, the staff have to be considerate to the guests. as we were not meant to be late on purpose, just because of the bad weather outside, we couldn’t drive fast. We were in the highway 2 1/2 hours without any food and drink in the hope of arriving on time.

酒店招呼細心，各部門職員好有禮貌，細心，詳細解釋地方，吃飯，位置，好有親和感。
溫泉水好正，日式早，晚餐比我想像中好吃。連我先生都接受到，全部吃晒。
須然行樓梯多啲，行多幾次就接受到，適應行到。只是鞋子太大，本人腳細，
傳統日式酒店，好有特色，但長者真要考慮行梯級，滿滿懷舊心情，好似代入左日劇場境點感。
美中不足，我腳小冇合適鞋子。結賬時，仲好溫馨感謝。極讚。

入住後有工作人員帶着介紹旅館，酒店可以看到温泉的泉眼還是入口之類的，有300年，這個旁邊就有一個湯，我們晚上去的時候沒人，覺得洗漱脱衣的地方有點冷，泡完可以在這裏喝點啤酒飲料小零食，二層走過去到酒店另一處湯。晚上餐食還不錯。

我們四人早上九時許到達後，依指示拍車，先走上石級進入旅館check in ，我們有三個重約15kg的行李，兩位已達中年以上的服務員給我們提起行李，當中一位更一次過兩手提起兩個喼，拾級而上，令我很不好意思。替他們的敬業致萬分敬意，但這麼重，手腕和膊頭會勞損，影響骨骼健康，為甚麼不分兩次走？
我們於下午2時半回到旅館，已準備好房間，有專人帶領入房，沿途逐一介紹。一房一廳，兩厠，一浴室，寬敞，設備齊全，除差電需先插上插蘇外，晚上就給我們在廳鋪上地墊。床和地墊舒適，睡得好。
這是一間非常日式的旅店，如果未曾試過，值得一試。我們訂的是連早晚餐，晚餐是全日式，但就不知名稱是甚麼料理，服務和食物也不錯，加上觀看桌上的食具擺盤陳設，也有特色。如果未曾試過，也值得一試，早餐仍是日式，一般(見圖四)。另有24小時免費半露天風呂，如book私人則2700日元50分鐘，最後是22點。旅館旁是行山徑，如住兩、三日，則附近是令你陶醉的山景、大自然環境、。總括來說，不錯的體驗，如再到藏王，仍會選入住具歷史價值，保養良好的高見屋。

飯店人員非常親切有禮，英文溝通OK，餐點也非常精緻美味，溫泉有室內和露天，泡起來很舒適，雖然飯店整體設備稍微陳舊，但非常整潔，住起來不會感到不適，反而多了日式懷舊氛圍，晚上還有2小時的Asahi可以自助暢飲，房間大小舒適，起床就看到窗外雪景非常夢幻；退房時也會協助載到巴士站，很方便。
