I had high expectations for the Arie Hotel in Zakopane, especially considering the relatively high prices, but unfortunately my stay was disappointing. Upon departure, I felt that the staff did not care at all about my experience. When I was at the reception, Mr. Jan didn’t even ask how my stay was. To me, this clearly shows that the hotel does not value guest feedback – as long as you pay and leave, that seems to be enough. The only positive aspect was the lady at the reception during check-in, Olga, who was very friendly. Unfortunately, that was the only bright spot. The biggest issue occurred during dinner at the hotel restaurant “Halka.” We were three adults plus a child, and I had found a drink voucher in my room that I wanted to use. When I asked in the restaurant, I was told in an unfriendly and arrogant tone that only one voucher per person could be used, even though there were three of us. This made no sense to me, especially considering that one night at the hotel costs over 1000 PLN, and dinner for three adults and a child would have been an additional 600–700 PLN. I find it petty to deny guests such small things when they are already paying so much. The voucher also did not indicate that it was only for one person. During check-out, I also told Mr. Jan that I expected a response from the hotel management regarding these incidents. To this day, I have not received any reply, which makes the whole situation even more frustrating. It seems like the hotel has no interest in taking care of guest satisfaction. The room was okay but nothing special, and the swimming pool area was disappointing. The water was too cold, and the pool was far too small to actually swim in. Overall, my stay at the Arie Hotel Zakopane was disappointing, and I will definitely not return. For the price they charge, there are much better alternatives in the area.
