Highly recommend this trip to anyone. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you have the best experience possible. We saw the big 5, and every game drive was unique and a magical experience. The food at the lodge was also excellent and the accommodation was perfect!

My wife and I had an incredible stay at Motswiri Private Safari Lodge. It was truly a unique experience from beginning to end. Our ranger, Elliott, was fantastic — knowledgeable, patient, and passionate. He explained everything about the surroundings, wildlife, and ecosystem, making every game drive fascinating. Thanks to him, we were lucky enough to see all of the Big Five! A big shout-out as well to Tchibo, Stone, and the rest of the staff, who were warm, friendly, and always made us feel welcome. The food was delicious, with plenty of great options every day. Our room was something special — beautifully designed, with a bath facing the outdoors and overlooking a waterhole where we could watch elephants and zebras come for a drink. A magical touch that made the stay even more memorable. Highly recommend Motswiri to anyone looking for an unforgettable safari experience!

This was our first safari, in fact our first time in SA. Madikwe Private Game Reserve is a great choice and the Motswiri is a superb lodge to see the park. First, the location itself is great, with its own watering hole where we saw elephants, giraffes, birds, wildebeests come by to drink and play in the mud. The rooms are wonderful, well appointed and very spacious, each with its own veranda. The food was superb and plentiful (we are foodies, so we speak with experience on this topic!). The hospitality was top notch. The complimentary laundry service came in handy as you can't pack too much on the flight in (if you decided not to drive in from Joburg). Of course, the key is the safari- 2 guided drives per day. Our guide Elliot was superb. He's a local, having grown up in the area and with nearly 20 years of experience- the man has amazing sense for the animals and great vision! Overall, we had a great time and we came away with a new appreciation for nature and will never be able to go to a zoo again.

because the rooms were outdated, the price was to high is my opinion. the airconditioning in one of the rooms was blowing right on our faces.

Everything was exceptionally beautiful, the food was excellent, the game drives were fantastic – but what truly impressed us was the incredible empathy of the team. Thank you for this unforgettable stay!

The lodge has brought to us a dream of Africa not mentioning the animals we have seen, the best guide we had on Safari, the excellent food, the friendliness and warm welcome of the whole staff! Compliments to all of them pls continue!!

On our arrival we were greeted by Agnes who gave us a wet towel to refresh ourselves and a glass of juice. Shortly we went on our first drive with Elliot, what a lovely man who is knowledgeable and funny and his sole aim is to make your safari as wonderful as possible. He also makes fabulous G&Ts. Back at the lodge you are served by staff who greet with a smile every time and can’t do enough for you and the food is out of this world. I really can’t praise this place enough. I can’t wait to go back with my daughters.
