🌈Highlights: 1. Zicheng Ruins Park: The historical site of Jiaxing's government offices and the former residence of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom's King of Listening, 2. Catholic Church: Also known as the Church of Our Lady of the Revelation, it is a Western-style building with Italian Gothic style. It is said to be the third largest church in the Far East, 3. Fan Li Lake Park: It is rumored that Xi Shi died here, and her tomb is in the lake. 🚗Travel Tips: 1. At the south gate of Zicheng Ruins Park, you can see the entire gate of Jiaxing Prefecture. Not far inside, there is a small building similar to a museum where you can see the foundations of the original city from various dynasties, with newly built buildings in the style of the Republic of China on both sides. 2. The Catholic Church is an open-style building without any fences, which is quite distinctive. 3. Fan Li Lake Park is suitable for taking pictures of lotuses in summer, but you can't go up to the highest building, Tongyue Pavilion, because the door is locked.

A hidden gem for family trips in Jiaxing, the playground is huge!

A hidden gem for family trips in Jiaxing, the playground is huge!

We went to Jiaxing last week and stayed at the Jiaxing Luxihui Kaiyuan Mingdu Hotel. This place is perfect for a family trip. The hotel is located in the Luxihui Historical Block, which has many well-preserved traditional houses. The environment is great and has a classic charm. It is not far from the Yuehe Historical Block, and the two complement each other. We booked the hotel for the playground, and it was huge! It is in a separate building, and we went on a weekday, so we had the place to ourselves. My kid had a great time climbing up and down. Hotel guests can enter for CNY 50 for one adult and one child, or CNY 100 for two adults and one child. There is no limit on the number of times you can enter in a day. We went back to the hotel for a nap at noon and went back to the playground in the afternoon. We played until 9 pm when they closed. There are many large models, ocean balls, slides, a huge sandpit, and Lego. We will definitely come back for the playground. The hotel breakfast buffet is also good. We also visited Nanhu Lake during the day. We wanted to visit the milk factory but didn't have time, so we will go next time.

Summer Price Freeze | A Hidden Gem Hotel for Fun and Water Play with Kids

Summer Price Freeze | A Hidden Gem Hotel for Fun and Water Play with Kids

A Hidden Gem Hotel for Fun and Water Play with Kids. The most headache-inducing part of holidays is taking the kids out for fun! Hotels jack up their prices like crazy, and any popular attraction is packed with people! This time, I'm recommending a hotel that's great for family outings with kids. It's not crowded during the holidays, and I booked three days in advance without any price increase. The hotel has a large green lawn that's great for taking photos! Each room comes with a private hot spring, and the baby can also play in the water. The hotel's recreational facilities are especially rich, really highlighting its value for money! 🏨Hotel | Jiaxing Qingchi Hot Spring Hotel Address | Intersection of the extension of Zhongshan West Road and Puxin Highway, Xiuzhou District, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province (🅿️Free Parking) 🚘1.5h drive from Shanghai, suitable for self-driving trips~ 🌟Hotel Outdoor Play Facilities There are two large outdoor playgrounds, a non-powered amusement park and a jellyfish water park, which allow kids to fully release their energy~ Just be mindful of heatstroke and sun protection in hot weather! Behind the hotel lawn, there are sheep, rabbits, pigs, and other small animals that can be fed in moderation. 🌟Hotel Hot Spring Center On the first floor, there are various hot spring pools and a swimming pool. The second floor houses a restaurant, and the third floor has a small amusement park, as well as a sauna, book bar, massage chairs, and other facilities. About Dining 🥣 The hotel is quite secluded, and there aren't many takeout options nearby. Outdoor camping and barbecue are available, but you need to call the hotel a few days in advance to book. There is a buffet on weekend holidays in the evening, and it's also recommended to call ahead to inquire. This time we chose the Jiayuan Night Market about 7-8 kilometers from the hotel, a 15-minute drive, with a shopping mall nearby, convenient parking, and various snacks at reasonable prices. Tips: ① The hotel rooms do not provide disposable items; you need to pick them up in the hotel corridor, so it's suggested to bring your own. ② When bringing kids, it's a good idea to prepare swimming gear such as swim rings, water guns, swimsuits, and swim caps in advance, as swim caps are required in the pool. ③ There are many mosquitoes on the large lawn, so consider bringing some mosquito repellent. Bring your family over for a weekend getaway, it's really comfortable~

Jiaxing | Yuehe District, unexpectedly quite a surprise

Jiaxing | Yuehe District, unexpectedly quite a surprise

🚗 Yuehe historical district is one of the most intact, largest, and most reflective of the residential and cultural characteristics of southern Yangtze River towns in the urban area of Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province. The basic layout of the Yuehe district is parallel 'three rivers and three streets'—'Grand Canal', 'Outer Yue River', 'Inner Yue River' are basically parallel and converge near Beili Bridge, creating a spatial layout with distinctive features; 'Zhongji Road', 'Tan Alley', and 'Xiushui Pocket Street' became bustling commercial areas due to their proximity to the canal and the prefectural city. In the past, shops lined both sides of 'Zhongji Road', attracting merchants and bustling with activity. 🚗 The small alleys and streets are winding and crisscrossed, with narrow rivers and alleys, old residential houses that restore and display the rich ancient town style of the water town. Inside the scenic area, there are attractions from six major venues including Jiangxi Guild Hall, Goldfish Yard, Dachang Pawnshop, Jiahe Water Post, Gao Gongsheng Soy Sauce Garden, and God of Wealth Hall. Yuehe district is indeed a tourist attraction where you can explore the old appearance of the southern prefectural city while enjoying the prosperity of century-old brands. 🚗 I've been to Jiaxing several times but never visited Yuehe. This time I made an appointment with a local friend to take a tour and have a meal by the way. I originally thought it was just an ordinary ancient town, but I didn't expect it to be quite large. There is an area inside that seems to be uninhabited, but I feel it has the original atmosphere of the ancient town (but my local friend told me it's a bar street, quiet during the day and lively at night)

Perfect for Valentine's Day~ Honey Honey

Perfect for Valentine's Day~ Honey Honey

Decided to go out for dinner at the last minute So we went to Nanhu Tiandi to have a look... The popular restaurants were all packed with people... We thought this restaurant had an interesting name, so we decided to give it a try~ 🚩 Honey Honey Stone Pot Fish -- The name is perfect for Valentine's Day, as it sounds like "honey" haha~😄 -- The restaurant is decorated in a simple style with natural wood colors, mainly wood and rattan -- The pot used to cook the fish is a stone pot, just like the name of the restaurant~ About the food -- We didn't expect to be able to use a group-buy deal on Valentine's Day -- We chose the weekday set meal for two, which we thought was great value for money~ Opening/cleaning the pot -- After we were seated, the server told us that the pot would be cleaned with high-pressure steam They were very quick, and it was done in no time. This cleaning method looked very clean and hygienic Another server brought the cleaned fish to us... The whole fish was picked up with tongs and placed in the pot... -- I was a bit scared, so I didn't take a photo... Then, the soup was poured over the fish and covered with a transparent lid -- We chose the perilla soup base, which contained cucumber slices, tofu, ginger slices, radish slices, corn (which was crispy, tender, and sweet after cooking), etc. The steam mode was turned on again to cook the fish for about 4–5 minutes The soup turned milky white and tasted very fresh The fish was tender and crispy~ ps: You can make your own dipping sauce at the sauce station. Add some mushroom sauce, as the mushroom pieces are very flavorful. This way, you can enjoy the original soup and have a hot pot experience at the same time~ After eating some fish, you can add side dishes -- Pork balls, rice noodles, tofu, baby cabbage, etc. ps: The pork balls contain celtuce, which is very chewy and unique~ The rice noodles absorb the flavor easily and are also very good. Dessert: Flower cake? -- The rose flavor was very strong, and the crispy crust was delicious~ Pottery milk -- Made with red dates, goji berries, rose petals?, black tea, milk, etc. It wasn't too sweet, and it felt nutritious and not greasy~ About the service -- From the moment we entered the restaurant, the service was excellent, from serving the dishes to clearing the plates and giving friendly reminders This is one of the restaurants with the best service in Jiaxing~ By the end, We had finished most of the fish, but there were some vegetables left We were very full, and it was great value for money. We'll bring our parents here next time~
