Driving gives you flexibility, but don’t waste money/time hunting for central Bath parking. I’d use a Park & Ride and explore Bath on foot. 🏛️ 2. Bath can be surprisingly cheap You don’t need tickets for everything. Pulteney Bridge + Weir, Royal Crescent, The Circus and Bath World Heritage Centre can all be enjoyed free. There are even free guided walking tours. 🎟️ 3. Where I WOULD spend - Stonehenge For a first visit, I think the official Stonehenge ticket is worth budgeting for. Book online by the day before - English Heritage currently says advance booking can save up to 15%, and later-day tickets can sometimes be cheaper. 💡 DON’T automatically pay for every Bath attraction If you’re doing this on a £150 budget, I’d choose one paid experience maximum. For this route, my money goes to Stonehenge, while Bath becomes the beautiful walking/exploring part of the trip. 🚆 NO CAR? Do this instead: Take London Paddington → Bath Spa, explore Bath, then travel towards Salisbury for Stonehenge. Their tomato beef pasta uses tender shredded beef instead of your typical ground beef, making every bite incredibly hearty and satisfying! My absolute favorite is the mushroom and black truffle pappardelle—the pasta is cooked to al dente perfection, and paired with that sauce, it’s simply divine! I seriously wanted to order seconds! The city center of Bath isn't too large, making it super accessible. You can easily hit all the popular spots mentioned above just by walking. The stone cottages, small villages, and countryside looked like something from a movie. Bibury and Castle Combe were especially beautiful. This is the kind of place where you don’t need to rush. A lovely day trip to Bath with the perfect mix of history, food and wandering. The Roman Baths were impressive and well worth the visit, giving a real sense of the city’s past. We stopped at Sally Lunn’s to try the famous bun — very touristy but still enjoyable. Bath Bazaar Market was#Bath #city #halal a highlight, especially the Turkish coffee and desserts. A walk across Pulteney Bridge added to the charm, and the Christmas market brought a festive atmosphere with loads of food options, including plenty of halal-friendly places. We also walked around Bath Priory, which offered peaceful surroundings and lovely views across Bath — a perfect spot to slow down and take it all in.
