💙 Blausee, Bernese Oberland Blausee is a small, crystal-clear alpine lake in the Kander Valley of the Bernese Oberland, known for its intense turquoise-blue water and peaceful forest surroundings. 🌲 What makes it special · Brilliant blue/turquoise lake · Surrounded by dense alpine forest and mountains · Famous underwater stone sculpture of a woman · Glass-bottom boat rides are available when operating · Beautiful walking trails around the lake · Particularly atmospheric in autumn, when the forest turns golden 🍂 📍 Location: Kandersteg area, Bernese Oberland, Switzerland 🚆 From Bern: roughly 1.5–2 hours by public transport, depending on connections ⏱️ Ideal visit: 2–4 hours Best time: Late spring through autumn. Winter can be especially magical when the surrounding landscape is covered in snow.

As summer fades and the air turns crisp, Bern transforms into a masterpiece of autumn colors. Switzerland’s charming capital becomes even more magical as golden leaves blanket its historic streets, riverside paths, and scenic parks. The moment I arrived, I was captivated by the warm hues of fall. Shades of gold, amber, and crimson painted the city, creating a beautiful contrast against Bern’s medieval architecture and iconic sandstone buildings. 🍁 Walking through the Old Town felt like stepping into a postcard. Historic arcades, cobblestone streets, and centuries-old landmarks were surrounded by the colors of autumn. 💙 The turquoise waters of the Aare River winding around the city added another layer of beauty, reflecting the golden trees lining its banks. 🏛️ Bern’s blend of history and nature is especially enchanting during this season. Every corner offers a picture-perfect view, from quiet parks to panoramic viewpoints overlooking the city. 🌄 My favorite moment was watching the late afternoon sunlight illuminate the autumn foliage while the rooftops of Bern glowed beneath the clear Swiss sky. 📸 Whether strolling along the river, exploring the Old Town, or simply enjoying the peaceful atmosphere, autumn in Bern feels wonderfully timeless. ✨ Bern in autumn is a reminder that some cities become even more beautiful when nature adds its seasonal touch. 📍 Bern, Switzerland 🇨🇭 “When autumn arrives in Bern, the city turns into a canvas painted in gold.” ✨ #Bern #Switzerland #AutumnInBern #VisitSwitzerland #TravelPhotography #TripMoments #Tripcom #AutumnColors #NatureLovers #Wanderlust #TravelMemories #ExploreSwitzerland #FallSeason #BeautifulDestinationss

When you think of Switzerland, postcard-perfect scenery and sky-high prices probably come to mind 🫣. Eating out here usually sets you back about CHF 20–30 (around NT$700–1,100) for just a basic meal. During our 14-day trip, we couldn't stomach instant noodles, and eating bread every single day wasn't an option. Even grabbing a ready-to-eat meal from the supermarket costs at least CHF 7.5–10 (about NT$300–400), and honestly, they're pretty unappetizing and hardly filling. After being totally ripped off for a few days, we finally discovered that the supermarket chain Coop actually has "Coop Restaurant," and the department store chain Manor has "Manora Restaurant"! It’s a bummer we only found out a few days before flying home 🥲. Both Coop Restaurant and Manora Restaurant charge by plate size (Small/Medium/Large run about CHF 7–16). As long as an item isn't priced separately, you can pile your plate as high as you want! Coop Restaurant focuses on hot food, salads, soups, and whole foods, while Manora Restaurant kicks it up a notch with made-to-order pasta, pizza, and a scenic terrace, giving it a slightly more premium vibe. We hit up their locations in Zurich, Basel, Bern, and Schaffhausen. For Switzerland, this is seriously an "affordable" find, so I had to share it with anyone planning an independent trip there! ✍️ Zurich Coop Restaurant Zürich St. Annahof Address: Bahnhofstrasse 57, 8001 Zürich Getting there: An 8–10 minute walk from Zurich Main Station (Zürich HB), located on the top floor of the Coop City department store. Basel Coop Restaurant Basel Pfauen Address: Freie Strasse 75, 4051 Basel Getting there: Take the tram to Marktplatz or Barfüsserplatz station, then a 3–5 minute walk. Located on the top floor of the Coop City department store. Bern Manora Restaurant Bern Address: Marktgasse 10, 3011 Bern Getting there: A 5-minute walk from Bern Main Station, located on the 5th floor (top floor) of the Manor department store (features a scenic terrace). Schaffhausen Manora Restaurant Schaffhausen Address: Fronwagplatz 1, 8201 Schaffhausen Getting there: A 6–8 minute walk from Schaffhausen train station, located on the 3rd floor (top floor) of the Manor department store (overlooks the plaza).

Both highly praised travel destinations, Singapore and Switzerland offer two completely different travel styles. One is a bustling, refined tropical garden city, and the other is a European hidden gem surrounded by mountains, rivers, lakes, and seas. Each experience has its own charm, catering to different travel needs🍃. Singapore is located in Southeast Asia, with a warm and comfortable climate year-round. Its clean and orderly urban environment is its most striking feature. The streets are spotless, and greenery grows freely along the buildings, truly blending city and nature🌴. Travel here is very accessible, especially friendly to Chinese travelers, with widespread use of Chinese, so language barriers are not a concern. The convenience of visa-free travel makes it ideal for short leisure trips. Marina Bay is the city’s central landmark. The Merlion statue stands quietly by the river, a must-visit spot. In the evening, the lights of the Marina Bay Sands complex gradually come on, paired with the Gardens by the Bay Supertree light show, creating a futuristic atmosphere with flowing light and shadow. The indoor waterfall at the Cloud Forest is cool and soothing, like stepping into a tropical rainforest. Sentosa Island offers endless fun, with Universal Studios full of exciting challenges, and clear beaches perfect for strolling and relaxing. The city also features diverse cultural neighborhoods: Chinatown is lively, Little India is colorful, and Kampong Glam is artistic and fresh. Just a few steps can bring you to different ethnic cultural experiences. Food is Singapore’s pride, with hawker centers hiding countless authentic flavors. Tender and flavorful Hainanese chicken rice, rich and satisfying bak kut teh, and fragrant chili crab offer affordable and delicious options. The travel pace is relaxed and easy, with no need to rush around. You can explore the main attractions in just a few days. The safety level is very high, making it especially suitable for solo travelers and family trips. Looking to Switzerland, this country hidden beneath the Alps is known for its pristine, grand natural scenery, often called a real-life world park🏔️. Endless snowy mountains, clear lakes, and peaceful towns form a healing landscape. The Jungfrau and Matterhorn peaks stand tall and majestic, topped with glaciers. The cool and vast scenery touches the heart. Lakes Lucerne and Thun have crystal-clear water reflecting distant mountains and wooden chalets, making every photo a soothing wallpaper. Travel here is slower and more leisurely. The highly developed rail network connects all the towns. Riding the panoramic scenic trains, you pass through valleys, fields, and lakesides with ever-changing views. Zermatt is a quiet, car-free town, peaceful and rustic without the noise of traffic, leaving only the tranquility of the mountains and wilderness. Bern’s old town preserves vintage European architecture, with a relaxed and cozy street atmosphere. Switzerland’s rich outdoor activities are a highlight. In summer, you can hike along the lakeshore or try paragliding to embrace the mountain breeze. In winter, snow-covered mountains offer perfect skiing and scenic views. The cuisine features strong European flavors, with rich cheese fondue, crispy potato pancakes, and various handmade chocolates, all creamy and distinctive. Local security is stable, and ecological protection is excellent. The sparsely populated wilderness is clean and pure, perfect for travelers wanting to escape city noise and immerse themselves in nature, letting go of daily worries and relaxing between lakes and mountains. Singapore wins with convenience, vibrancy, and diverse urban life, filling the trip with refined city charm. Switzerland excels with vast mountains and rivers, peaceful purity, and nature’s grandeur that heals the soul. The former suits short leisure trips for exploring diverse city life and modern sights. The latter is ideal for long, in-depth journeys to snowy mountains and lakes, unlocking pristine natural beauty. Neither destination is better or worse—just two very different lifestyles. Choose freely based on your travel needs. Wherever you go, you’ll find your own unique travel romance.

If you're staying in Bern, one of the best-value day trips is to Domodossola, a charming Italian town nestled at the foot of the Italian Alps. Even better, the journey from Bern to Domodossola is fully covered with the Swiss Travel Pass, making it an easy and affordable way to experience a taste of Italy. Getting There Take a direct train from Bern to Domodossola. The journey takes approximately 2 hours, passing through spectacular mountain scenery, picturesque Swiss villages, and the famous Simplon route. Continue exploring Italy by purchasing a separate Italian train ticket to destinations such as Milan, Lake Maggiore, or Stresa. Enjoy a leisurely Italian lunch in Domodossola before catching your return train to Switzerland—again, at no extra cost with your Swiss Travel Pass. 2. Explore Domodossola Stroll through the beautiful Piazza del Mercato, lined with colourful historic buildings, cafés, and local shops. It's an ideal place to enjoy authentic Italian cuisine, sip an espresso, or indulge in a scoop of gelato while soaking up the relaxed atmosphere. Hike to the Sacred Mount Calvary For those who enjoy nature, don't miss the easy hike up the Sacred Mount Calvary of Domodossola (Sacro Monte Calvario), one of the nine UNESCO-listed Sacri Monti. The gentle uphill walk takes around 30–45 minutes and winds past historic chapels through peaceful woodland. Bring a small picnic and enjoy it at one of the viewpoints. Along the way, you'll often hear the gentle sound of cowbells and goat bells echoing across the hillsides—a quintessential Alpine experience. At the summit, you'll be rewarded with crisp mountain air, sweeping views over Domodossola and the surrounding valleys, and a tranquil atmosphere that's perfect for slowing down and appreciating nature. If time permits, stay until sunset, when the warm golden light transforms the surrounding Alps into a truly unforgettable sight. Suggested Day Itinerary 8:00 am – Depart Bern by train. 10. 00 am – Arrive in Domodossola and explore the old town. 11. 00 am – Hike to Sacro Monte Calvario. 1. 00 pm – Picnic or enjoy lunch back in town. 2. 30 pm – Browse local cafés and artisan shops. 4:00 pm – Return to Bern, or continue your Italian adventure with a separate train ticket. Did you know that summer in Switzerland is only 20 degrees Celsius?😲 Not too cold, not too hot, just perfect. The streets are so clean you can walk barefoot, and you don’t have to be afraid to stroll alone at 10 PM. These places are a must-visit👇 📍 Grindelwald – Dreamy Hillside As soon as the train arrives, you see a big green hill right in front of you🌱 There are little wooden houses and yellow flowers on it, with snowy mountains behind. You can lie on the grass and roll around, just like in a cartoon. 📍 Lauterbrunnen – Waterfall Village The village has 72 waterfalls💦 There’s a big waterfall just a 10-minute walk away, and the mist feels cool on your face. Walk along the nearby path, and it feels like a valley where elves live🧝‍♀️ 📍 Mount Rigi – Mountain and Lake Views Take the red little train up the mountain🚂 At the top, there’s a big lake on one side and snowy mountains on the other. There’s a very flat path that even kids and grandmas can walk. If you’re lucky, you might see a marmot stand up and greet you🐿️ 📍 Bern – Old Town That’s Not Afraid of Rain The old town has a super long covered walkway, so you don’t need an umbrella when it rains☔️ At 11 AM, watch the little wooden figures dance on the clock tower. Easy to remember Day 1: Arrive in Zurich, take the train to Lucerne (stay in the old town) Day 2: Climb Mount Rigi, take a boat back to Lucerne in the afternoon, then train to Interlaken Day 3: Go to Grindelwald, play at First mountain (you can even drive a go-kart🛺) Day 4: Explore Lauterbrunnen + Mürren village (quiet like a paradise) Day 5: Visit Bern in the morning, return to Zurich in the afternoon to catch your flight home✈️ What to eat? Today was seriously a dream come true! The skies finally cleared up, so I hit the super chill North Face Hike in Mürren—7.4km of pure mountain magic, with a not-too-crazy 380m elevation gain (about 2.5 hours, so totally manageable if you’re not aiming for pro-hiker status). You will not regret doing this easy hike. Honestly, every step felt like a scene from a movie. You get mind-blowing views of snow-capped peaks and crazy layers of misty mountains rolling into the distance. The trail itself winds through green grasslands, wildflower meadows, and picture-perfect Swiss chalets. And let me tell you, snapping shots with the glaciers and clouds in the background? Instagram GOLD. 📸❄️🌄 #NatureVibes If you want to try this hike, start from Mürren village (Wengen-Mürren, 3825 Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland). The trail is usually open from May to October, depending on weather. Be sure to check updates on trip.com before you go. Pro tip: Mürren has super charming Swiss architecture mixed with epic mountain vibes, so save time to wander around the village, grab a hot choc, and soak in those alpine feels. You’ll never want to leave. 🔥 Have you done the North Face Hike? Or been shopping at Landquart? Drop your best Swiss adventure below! 🇨🇭✨
