All Trip Moments about Comarca de Oviedo
Hidden Gem in the Basque Country 🇪🇸✨ I’d call it the “Little Switzerland” near Bilbao 🏔️
#summervacay
Feeling bored at home this weekend? Why not go out and enjoy the spring vibes? 🌿🌞
We took the Cercanías Line 3 🚆 from Abando train station all the way to the last stop—about a 50-minute ride!
🎯 Destination: Orduna (You can use your Barik card to enter the station—super convenient!)
This little town has lots of restaurants, so you can enjoy a nice lunch here 🍽️, or do what we did: pack some bocadillos (sandwiches) and have a picnic along the way 🥪🧺!
The route we chose is called Senda Verde de Delika 🌲
It’s super family-friendly—great for kids and dogs too! Very easy and relaxing to walk.
❗️Heads up: The actual starting point is in Delika, a small village next to Orduna.
Since we weren’t driving and there’s no public transport to Delika, we started walking from Orduna instead.
The tourist office told us it would take about 20 minutes… but we took almost an hour 😂
🚗 If you’re driving, definitely park directly in Delika—there’s a free parking lot and it’s super convenient 🅿️!

Magical Sunset from Monte Naranco: A Breathtaking View of Oviedo 🌅🏞️
Watching the sunset from Monte Naranco was one of the most magical experiences of my summer visit to Oviedo. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the sky was painted with shades of orange, pink, and purple, casting a warm glow over the city. The views from up there are simply spectacular, offering a panoramic sight of Oviedo surrounded by the lush greenery of the Asturian mountains. 🌄🌳🇪🇦
It’s the perfect spot to take in the beauty of the region, especially as the city lights begin to twinkle below. The peaceful atmosphere, combined with the stunning natural beauty, made this moment unforgettable. If you find yourself in Oviedo, don’t miss the chance to visit Monte Naranco at sunset — it's a place that truly captures the essence of Asturias. ✨

Santa María del Naranco: A Scenic Gem in Oviedo 🏰🌄
Visiting Santa María del Naranco in Oviedo was an unforgettable experience. This historical gem, once a royal palace, stands proudly atop a hill offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city and surrounding mountains. The architecture is a stunning example of early medieval Spanish art, and the peaceful atmosphere makes it the perfect spot for a bit of reflection and admiration. 🌿
The views from the top are spectacular, with sweeping vistas of Oviedo’s charming streets and the lush green hills of Asturias. It’s a place where history and nature meet, and it’s easy to understand why it’s such a treasured landmark. 🏞️
If you're ever in Asturias, this is a must-see. The combination of rich history and stunning views makes it a perfect spot to appreciate both the culture and beauty of the region. Don’t miss it! ✨
