📍 Mingji Kaoyu (Dalian Pavilion, 5th Floor) Location: 5F, Pavilion Shopping Mall, 123 Zhongshan Road, Zhongshan District, Dalian, China (Near Wuyi Square Station, Subway Line 2). 🔥 Dalian’s Legendary "Wait-List" Grilled Fish Spot! Even in the bustling restaurant area on the 5th floor of Pavilion—Dalian’s trendiest downtown mall—this place is a standout favorite. During peak hours, it’s packed with people holding queue numbers. But the wait is part of the charm! You can pass the time snacking on sunflower seeds and sipping tea, soaking in that authentic local vibe. Between the sleek, modern decor and the top-notch service, you’ll be hyped for your meal before you even sit down. 🐟 The Ultimate Duo: Mala x Garlic! A Flavor Game-Changer Mingji Kaoyu’s signature move is their "Half-and-Half" grilled fish, letting you savor two distinct sauces in one tray. On one side, you get the fiery, numbing, and totally addictive Mala kick; on the other, a savory-sweet explosion of roasted whole garlic. The sea bass is perfectly grilled—crispy skin, tender meat—and absorbs every drop of flavor. Alternating between the spicy Mala and the rich garlic creates a "sweet-salty-spicy" harmony that will keep your chopsticks moving! 💡 Pro-Tips for Visiting & Ordering! 👨👩👧 Go for the sea bass—it’s got fewer bones and a melt-in-your-mouth texture. The "Mala + Garlic" split is the golden standard here! Be sure to add toppings like yuba (tofu skin), wide glass noodles, cabbage, and potatoes to soak up the sauce, then pile them onto a bowl of fluffy white rice. If the broth boils down and gets too salty, just ask for "Jiatang" (a broth refill) to keep the flavors perfectly balanced until the very last bite! Travel Travel Moment

📍 Lu Wang Zhai Location: Downtown Dalian, Liaoning Province, China (Near Zhongyuan Xiaoqie / No. 36 Xiangqian Street) 🐱 A Cozy Local Dumpling Hideout Welcomed by a Cute Cat Tucked away in the alleys of downtown Dalian, this dumpling specialty shop boasts an authentic local atmosphere that is constantly bustling with locals. As soon as you enter, you are greeted by an adorable cat amidst the cozy and charming restaurant scenery, instantly melting your heart! Thanks to its simple yet warm ambiance, it is the perfect spot to stop by comfortably and enjoy a warm dumpling meal when you are feeling hungry during your travels. 🥟 The Perfect Combination of Flavor-Explosive Sea Urchin Dumplings & Scallion Oil Stir-fried Noodles With just one bite of the signature sea urchin dumpling, the moist pork and the unique salty, deep flavor of the sea urchin roe burst into a mouth-watering umami sensation. Add to this the thick, chewy noodles and the savory aroma of green onion oil that tickles your nose. If you pair them with crunchy, tangy, and salty pickled cucumbers like regular pickles, they cut through the greasiness and boost the umami flavor to a skyrocket! With insane value for money—allowing you to enjoy a filling meal for just a few thousand won per person—you will naturally exclaim, "If I come to Dalian, I will definitely come back here again!" 💡 Visiting Tips! 👨👩👧 Opening hours are usually from 7:00 AM to 9:30 PM. Due to the nature of local restaurants, the signal inside may occasionally be weak, so connecting to the store's Wi-Fi is recommended for smoother service when paying with Alipay or WeChat Pay. Order the combination of 'Sea Urchin Dumplings + Green Onion Oil Stir-fried Noodles + Pickled Cucumbers,' and if you add a little chili oil or vinegar from the table according to your preference, you can completely devour the meal without getting tired of it until the very last bite! #DalianTravel #DalianTrip #DalianFood #LuWangZhai #SeaUrchinDumplings #DalianBestValueRestaurant #ChinaTravel #FoodieTour #DumplingRestaurant

If you want to skip the expensive sightseeing tours, Dalian has a perfect budget-friendly option ➡️ Bus No. 16. It hits all the major landmarks and top shopping centers, giving you a full city tour for next to nothing. ‼️ The trick is knowing how to ride it right. 🚌 Most of these are double-decker buses. You definitely want a seat on the second floor, right at the front window. The view from the middle isn't great, and it gets packed during rush hour. If a standard single-decker pulls up, skip it and wait for the next one—they run every 10-20 minutes. 🚌 Where to board: 🔹️ The best way to snag a seat is at the "Dalian Ocean University" terminal in the west. 🔹️ If you're coming from the east, board at the "Conference Center" terminal. 🔹️ You can hop on in the city center, but don't expect any open seats on the upper deck. ‼️ Note: This is not a loop route. The bus runs from the west terminal to the east terminal and back. You can't just stay on forever—they’ll likely ask you to hop off at the final stop. It’s best to ride the full route one way, get off, then catch it back and stop at the places you liked. ⛰️ Sightseeing along the way: 🔹️ Xinghai Park: Perfect for a seaside stroll. 🔹️ Xinghai Square: Massive and stunning; definitely worth getting off to walk around. 🔹️ Olympic Square: Surrounded by shops and great city amenities. 🔹️ People's Square: A good spot to hop off and take a breather. 🔹️ Zhongshan Square: A must-see! The historic European architecture gives it a unique vibe, and the photo ops are incredible. 🔹️ Friendship Square, Gangwan Square, and the Donggang District: Near the end of the line. In Donggang, you can walk along the waterfront promenade. 🛒 Shopping Highlights 🔹️ Qingniwaqiao: The ultimate shopping stop. You’ll find Parkland Mall, New Mart, and the underground Victory Plaza here. 🔹️ Olympic Square: Another great choice for malls and brand-name stores. 🔹️ Peace Plaza: A large shopping mall where you can relax. 💳 Cost: Fare is just 2 Yuan. Bus No. 16 is the cheapest tour in Dalian—only 2 Yuan, with no need for taxis or overpriced tour packages.

I headed to "Qingxiang Lamian," a legendary local ramen spot in Dalian, for a satisfying lunch! 🍜🥰 While Dalian has both "Qingxiang Lamian" and "Chengjuan Qingxiang Lamian," I visited the Lidu Huayuan branch this time. The shop was buzzing with locals and full of energy. I ordered their signature dish, the "Da Rou Mian" (Braised Pork Noodles). Honestly, the portions looked so massive that I chickened out and went for the small size (17 RMB, about $2.40) 😋 The style here features a clear broth with a generous serving of braised pork served on the side 😋🐷🍜. You can choose between fatty or lean cuts, but since both looked incredible, I asked if I could have a mix. The staff was super friendly and said "Sure!" 😊 He was such a friendly guy ⭐ Even the small size was more than enough to fill me up—the presentation was impressive! 😲 The meat is simmered until it's perfectly tender, literally melting in your mouth. It was absolutely divine! 😍❤️ The broth starts off light and refined, but as the savory juices from the meat blend in, the flavor becomes incredibly rich and deep. It pairs perfectly with the chewy, hand-pulled noodles. Despite the generous portion, I polished off the whole bowl in no time. You haven't truly experienced Dalian until you've tried this! It’s easy to see why it’s such a local favorite. If you’re a ramen lover, this is a must-visit spot that I highly recommend! There are several locations throughout Dalian, many of which are open 24 hours, so definitely check out the one nearest to you 😍 📍Qingxiang Lamian (Lidu Huayuan Branch) No. 32 Huanghe Road, Xigang District, Dalian, Liaoning (inside Lidu Huayuan) 15-minute walk from Dalian Station 📍Qingxiang Lamian (Rongsheng Street Branch) Right in front of Dalian Station 📍Qingxiang Lamian (Minzheng Street Branch) Near Xi'an Road Station (Metro Lines 1 & 2) And many more 😊 Travel Travel Gourmet Travel Foodies Travel Foodies Travel

Shibei Bay Water Park in Dalian is an absolutely amazing spot. It is a brand-new, modern 7-story complex spanning 100,000 square meters. The place is stunningly beautiful 😻 We spent the entire day here. Both adults and children were absolutely thrilled. The transparent lazy river, suspended at a height, is truly impressive. Access to the slides is strictly based on weight. The 6th and 7th floors feature two breathtaking pools with views of the bay and skyscrapers. I had always dreamed of visiting this place to take some incredible photos. The pool on the 6th floor is heated. There are also many different massage tubs and warm baths with various mineral additives on the 6th floor. The pool on the 7th floor is also beautiful, but the water is cooler. The water park is massive. Another unique feature is that the water is salty—it's actual seawater. It is a great place to relax and spend quality time. You can also grab a snack on the 6th floor if you get hungry. You can get here by taxi. The ride takes about 40 minutes from downtown Dalian. An adult entrance ticket will cost you 128 RMB. Entry is free for children under 130 cm.

📍 He Diao Yi Zhi Xie - Zhongshan Square Branch (Drink Until You Lose a Shoe) Location: Near Zhongshan Square, Zhongshan District, Dalian, China (Search for "喝丢一只鞋(中山广场店)" on Amap or include "Zhongshan Square" to find the exact spot.) I went to "Changxingli Snack Street" on Xi'an Road in Dalian for dinner today🤤❤️🍲 Located on the B1 level of "Central Avenue," this is a massive indoor food market (Bakeyou Market) where you can enjoy local eats comfortably, rain or shine✨ With countless stalls to choose from, I finally settled on Dalian’s famous "Menzi" (starch jelly) and some pan-fried soup dumplings! The Menzi was exactly what I wanted—crispy on the outside with a unique chewy, jelly-like texture inside. Drenched in a rich, punchy sesame and garlic sauce, it’s absolutely addictive😍 The pan-fried soup dumplings were just as good, with a perfectly crispy base and hot, savory soup bursting out with every bite... simply divine! 🤤🥡 The venue offers plenty of seating, making it easy to grab a variety of snacks and share them with friends at your own pace😊 Make sure to come hungry—this is a top-tier spot for any food crawl! 📍 Changxingli Snack Street (Central Avenue) Next to the exit of Xinggong Street Metro Station, Shahekou District, Dalian, Liaoning Province Right by Xinggong Street Station on Metro Line 1

I recently took a walk down Dalian's "Nanshan Cultural Street"! This area is lined with historic Western-style mansions and Japanese modernist villas, making it a truly artistic and sophisticated neighborhood ✨ It’s a unique mix of trendy cafes, local shops, and residential blocks. The former Japanese residential district has been redeveloped and now features many Japanese restaurants 😊 At the "Zhuifeng Post Office," the owner (who used to live in Japan) sells various cute handmade items—I even picked up a lucky charm! 😊⛩️ The lake in the large nearby park was also very relaxing 😋 The streets are filled with hidden gem cafes renovated from historic buildings, as well as stylish restaurants and bars ☕️ On a sunny day, simply strolling around and admiring the retro architecture feels wonderful. Every corner is perfectly Instagrammable! 📸 Since it's not too crowded and has a very calm atmosphere, this is my top recommendation for anyone looking for a relaxing, sophisticated day out in Dalian. It’s about 1km from both Zhongshan Square Station and Labor Park Station, so it’s easiest to just hop in a taxi or call a Didi! 🥰

🐯Laohutan Ocean Park (Tiger Beach Ocean Park) is a famous marine theme park in Dalian, China, perfect for families and marine life lovers. It features aquariums, polar animals, marine animal shows, and beautiful coastal views. 📍Address 9 Binhai Middle Road, Zhongshan District, Dalian, Liaoning, China 📍Recommended Visit Time About 4–5 hours, or half a day to nearly a full day. It's best to check opening hours and show schedules before you go. 📍Transportation You can take a city bus or taxi from central Dalian. If using maps in China, Amap (Gaode Maps) is recommended for route planning.

If you’re looking for a fun and photogenic place to visit in Dalian, Xinghai Square Amusement Park (星海广场游乐场) is worth adding to your itinerary. Located right beside the sea at Xinghai Square, this open-air amusement area combines colorful carnival rides with beautiful coastal scenery, making it especially attractive around sunset. Unlike a large theme park such as Dalian Discovery Kingdom, Xinghai Square Amusement Park is more of a seaside recreational amusement area. The atmosphere is relaxed, with rides, small attractions, waterfront promenades, and plenty of spots for photography. 🎠 What Can You Do Here? The amusement area features a variety of rides, including colorful carousel-style attractions, family rides, and the distinctive elevated track ride seen in many photos and videos of Xinghai Square. One of the most photogenic experiences is the small ride that travels along an elevated track above the amusement park. It gives you views of Xinghai Bay, the coastline and Xinghai Bay Bridge, making it particularly beautiful during golden hour. Recent visitor information lists the ride experience as a gentle attraction rather than an intense roller coaster, making it suitable for visitors who prefer something relaxing. The surrounding area also has smaller carnival-style rides and recreational attractions, so it works well for a casual afternoon rather than requiring an entire day. 🌅 The Best Reason to Visit: Sunset The biggest highlight is arguably the seaside scenery. Because the amusement park sits directly within the Xinghai Square waterfront area, you can combine the rides with a walk along the bay. In the late afternoon, the light becomes much warmer, illuminating the rides and creating a beautiful contrast with the blue sea. Around 4:30–6:30 PM is a great time to visit if you want to photograph the rides during golden hour and stay until the lights come on. Sunset timing varies throughout the year, so check the day’s sunset time before visiting. 📍 Location Xinghai Square Amusement Park (星海广场游乐场) Xinghai Square, Shahekou District, Dalian, Liaoning, China. The amusement park is located within the larger Xinghai Square (星海广场) complex, one of Dalian’s most famous coastal landmarks. The square itself is a huge public space and is free to access, while individual amusement rides are paid separately. 🎟️ Tickets & Opening Hours As of 2026, current visitor listings give the amusement park’s general operating hours as: · Opening hours: 10:00 AM–10:00 PM · Last admission: around 9:30 PM · Xinghai Square: Free to enter · Amusement rides: Paid separately Individual ride prices can vary. For example, a recent 2026 visitor report listed the popular elevated track ride at approximately ¥50 for adults and ¥30 for children, with operating hours around 9:00 AM–8:00 PM for that specific attraction. Prices and ride schedules can change seasonally, so it’s best to check on-site before riding. 🚇 How to Get There The easiest option is the Dalian Metro Line 1. Get off at Xinghai Square Station (星海广场站) and walk toward the square. Xinghai Square is also served by several bus routes, while taxis and DiDi are convenient if you’re coming from elsewhere in Dalian. 📸 Photo Tips For the most beautiful photos, I recommend visiting in the late afternoon and staying until sunset. Try photographing the elevated ride with the sea and Xinghai Bay Bridge in the background. The colorful ride cars look particularly striking when the track lights turn on after sunset. If you want fewer people in your photos, weekday afternoons are generally more comfortable than weekends and holidays. The waterfront can become much busier around sunset. 💡 What to Know Before You Go · The square itself is free, but rides and other attractions cost extra. · This is better suited to a 1–3 hour visit than a full-day theme park. · The most scenic time is late afternoon through sunset. · Bring a light jacket in cooler months because the waterfront can be windy. · Combine it with a walk around Xinghai Square and Xinghai Bay for a more complete experience. · If you’re visiting specifically for the elevated track ride, check its operating status and ticket price on the day. 📍 Best for: Sunset photography, couples, families, casual rides, seaside walks, and first-time visitors to Dalian.

📍 Xinxing Traditional Roast Duck (Dalian Old Street Branch) 🦆 A feast for the senses: The spectacular 'Peking Duck (Roast Duck)' Carved right at your table as soon as you order, this Peking Duck features skin as crispy as a cracker and meat so tender and juicy it's absolutely stunning. Wrap the golden-brown duck with scallions and cucumber in a thin pancake, add a dab of special sauce, and enjoy a flavor explosion in every bite! 🥢 The perfect Chinese pairings (Morning Glory & Fried Rice & Guobaorou) Morning Glory: With its crisp, fragrant texture, it's the ultimate "cheat code" to balance the richness of the duck! Fried Rice: Perfectly savory and fluffy, this crowd-pleaser is a hearty side that everyone will love. Guobaorou: Crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, and smothered in a tangy sweet-and-sour sauce—it’s the perfect finishing touch. 💡 Insider Tip! ⏰ Since this is a local favorite, expect a wait during peak hours, so it's best to arrive a bit early. With its incredible value and generous portions, this will easily be the most memorable meal of your Dalian trip!

🌊Dalian is great, but I won't be going back, because honestly—the hills are so steep, my knees broke before my heart did. First, the verdict: This "Romantic Capital of the North" lives up to its name. With its squares, sea breeze, trams, and a mix of old Russian-style architecture and the trendy Donggang area, its vibe is truly unique in Northeast China.🚋 In September, the summer heat in Dalian has faded and the fishing season has begun—the city is a real feast for the eyes. But all the uphill and downhill walking had my knees crying for help.😮‍💨 ✨First, why it's so amazing Binhai Road Boardwalk | One of the most beautiful coastal trails in China Walk from Xinghai Square all the way to Bangchuidao. With the sea on your left and mountains on your right, the boardwalk winds along. Stop every so often, and every snapshot looks like a postcard. Sitting by the sea in the evening watching the Cross-Sea Bridge light up, with the sea breeze blowing—it's cool and healing. It's not called a local favorite for strolling for nothing.🌉 Donggang Musical Fountain + Yacht Marina | The chic side of the new Dalian The fountain dances to the music, yachts line up at the marina, and as night falls and the lights come on, you might momentarily think you're on the European coast. Seafood menzi and spoon worm rice—freshness is key. For seafood stalls near Laohutan, look for places with clearly marked prices. ❌Why I don't want to go a second time It's not that Dalian isn't great; it's just that the city's terrain is not very friendly to your legs.🦵 So many hills! So steep! You have to climb everywhere you go. The map says 200m, but walking it feels more tiring than a lap around a track. Scenic spots are spread out along the coastline, and the distances between them are long. Trying to hit all the classic spots in one day is just a dream. In a coastal city, the water is already cold in September, so you can basically forget about swimming. During holidays, Binhai Road gets severely congested, and taking a taxi isn't much faster than walking. Treat it as a "coastal strolling city" rather than a "sightseeing checklist city." Planning two or three spots a day plus plenty of aimless wandering is the right way to experience Dalian. ✅Practical info cheat sheet Transportation: High-speed rail to Dalian Station/Dalian North Station; use the subway + bus within the city; take the sightseeing bus for Binhai Road. Itinerary: D1 Xinghai Square + Binhai Road + Fujiazhuang → D2 Laohutan + Fisherman's Wharf → D3 Donggang + Russian Style Street Admission: Xinghai Square, Binhai Road, and Donggang are free; Laohutan, Sun Asia Ocean World, and other venues require separate tickets. Best time to visit: May–June and September–October have the most comfortable weather; September is the fishing season, perfect for seafood. Gear: Comfortable shoes are the greatest respect you can show your knees; bring a light jacket as it's windy by the sea. Reminder: Ask for prices at seafood stalls before sitting down; set aside a full day for trips toward Lushun. Dalian's sea breeze and squares are worth a slow three-day stroll.🌊 But please wear your softest shoes—this city is all hills.👋

I recently took the most romantic night walk in Dalian 😍! First, I headed to "Northern Book City" on Tianjin Street. Once indoors, the towering bookshelves and vintage sofas made me feel like I’d stepped right into a magical world like Harry Potter. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a quiet, luxurious moment surrounded by books. From there, a short walk leads to the glowing "Zhongshan Square" 🌆✨! The historic modern architecture surrounding the square was bathed in a golden light, creating a breathtaking scene that felt like standing on a corner in Europe. The cool night breeze was so refreshing, and the atmosphere was lovely, with locals gathered to relax and enjoy the evening. I recently visited "Bear Cave Street" in Dalian! 🐻 This is a former factory site turned into a cyberpunk-style, futuristic hotspot that’s trending right now ✨ The main attraction is undoubtedly "Bei Bei," the massive polar bear robot in the center! 🐻❄️⚡️ Standing over 6 meters tall, it’s incredibly impressive in person. There are shows several times a day where it blinks, shakes its head, and sprays mist—it was a total hit with both kids and adults 😍 Inside, the food court, arcade, and colorful lighting are all so adorable. With so many stylish and Instagrammable spots, every corner you turn is exciting. If you love sci-fi aesthetics, vibrant colors, or unique photo opportunities, this place is a must! If you’re searching for a relaxing getaway and a stunning backdrop of grand European architecture in Dalian, China, you absolutely have to visit the Haichang Oriental Water City—also known as the Venice of Dalian. This coastal area has been transformed into a massive replica of Venice, featuring winding canals lined with Italian-style brick buildings and spire towers glowing with warm white lights. Trust me, the real-life scenery is incredibly exquisite, vibrant, and romantic. Check-in Highlights and Photo Spots: 1. The Venice Canals with Reflecting Lights and Gondolas: This is the iconic shot of the Water City. Imagine long canals stretching under arched stone bridges, with the late afternoon sun and evening lights shimmering on the water’s surface, creating a sparkling golden-orange glow. Catching a glimpse of the little gondolas gliding through the water from a wide-angle bridge shot will easily be the chicest photo of your trip. 2. The San Marco Spire Tower and Classical European Halls: A highlight of the luxury architecture here is the towering bell tower that catches the eye, illuminated in soft yellow light alongside Renaissance-style circular buildings. With an outdoor plaza and beachfront-style pizza cafes in front, a straight-on portrait here feels incredibly upscale and warm—just like being in the heart of Europe. 🏛️🍕 3. Nighttime Canal Walkways and Modern Skyscrapers: As you stroll along the wrought-iron fences, you’ll find sloping alleys dotted with purple wildflowers by the water. Don’t miss the chance to snap a low-angle shot of the European gables contrasted against the modern glass skyscrapers across the way, flashing their blue and white LED lights. It creates a powerful, eye-catching "street travel" vibe that tells a great story. 🌃🏙️ 💡 Traveler Tips and What to Know: · The Venice of the East: Entry to this water city is free and open 24/7. The Haichang Group invested heavily to excavate over 4 kilometers of artificial saltwater canals, hiring French architects to perfectly design the Venice and Paris-inspired layouts. Inside, you can enjoy gondola rides and explore the lively shops and bars along the banks. · Tips: The best time for photos is between 6:00 PM and 8:30 PM. This is during "twilight," when the sky turns deep blue and the buildings light up. I recommend wearing light, solid colors like white or cream; they’ll make you stand out elegantly against the stunning golden-orange backdrop of the lights.

If you're looking to skip the sightseeing marathon and instead enjoy a peaceful stay by the sea, complete with hot springs and great food, Jinshitan is the perfect escape. 🏨 The Hotel | Tangjingze Japanese Hot Spring Hotel We stayed for two nights, and it was a fantastic experience. The highlight is the authentic Japanese onsen experience: they offer separate gender-segregated baths, communal family pools, and each room comes with its own private tub for a relaxing soak in the evening. It's also great for families with kids: · Outdoor children's pool · A massive indoor play area · Relaxing body scrubs and massages · Japanese ramen to end an active day 🍜 The hotel is quiet, surrounded by greenery, and feels very private. It’s the ideal spot to escape the city noise and just catch your breath. 🏖️ The Beach | Happy Coast (Gate 7) My favorite stretch of beach was near Entrance 7 of Happy Coast (快乐海岸). The sand is finer and much softer, which is perfect if you're traveling with kids who want to dig and play. Pro tip: Bring a beach mat and an umbrella. Don't forget the SPF—the sun by the ocean is deceptively strong! ☀️ ☕ Gan Hai Coffee (赶海咖啡) A very atmospheric spot just a short walk from the beach. I especially loved their homemade pastries; the bread is delicious. They also sell fresh fruit and corn grown by the owners. It’s all very simple and incredibly fresh. The vibe here is just lovely: three cute ducks 🦆 greet you at the entrance, and there are several cats 🐈 inside. It's the kind of place where you can linger over coffee, watch the animals, and just take your time. 🍕 CAIFIRE Located right next to the coffee shop, this restaurant has a spacious and stylish American-style interior. The star of the show is the authentic wood-fired pizza made on-site. It’s a wonderful spot to spend an evening: sea breeze + sunset + hot pizza 🌅 📌 My Perfect Jinshitan Itinerary: Morning: Beach and ocean → Afternoon: Coffee and pastries → Evening: Sunset and pizza → Late night: Hot bath or onsen back at the hotel ♨️ If you're looking for a relaxing seaside getaway without the rush, I’d recommend staying for at least two nights.

🛶In my opinion, this is the highlight of my trip to Dalian. 🛶I was absolutely captivated by the charm of these streets. Once the evening lights flickered on, the "Venice" area became truly magical. 🛶It's a man-made water city complete with canals, bridges, and European architecture reflecting Baroque and Gothic styles. Its official name is the "East Harbor Water City." 🛶Entry to the area is completely free. 🛶For a truly special experience, make sure to take a gondola ride. It was an incredible highlight. Floating through the picturesque canals surrounded by beautiful music made us feel like we had stepped into a fairy tale. 🛶I recommend arriving around 5:00 PM, just before sunset. This gives you time to explore the streets in daylight and stay to see the stunning night illumination. 🛶We paid about 120 yuan for the gondola ride, and it was worth every penny. 🛶Just a heads up, there’s usually a short wait for the gondolas. We took a taxi to get here, which was only about a 15-minute drive from the city center. If you ever find yourself in Dalian, this beautiful spot is a must-visit.

It's my first time in Dalian and I happened to catch the start of the fishing season. I'm quite lucky. My friend said the crabs in September are the fattest and a must-try, so we came to Riyuesheng next to Xinghai Square. Steamed flying crab is a must-order. A big platter was served. It smelled delicious as soon as I cracked open the shell. The crab meat was very tender and flavorful enough to eat without dipping sauce. We also ordered a portion of boiled prawns. The shrimp meat was fresh and springy. We also ordered the three-delicacy menzi and the Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea. We didn't order too many dishes; this was just right for 2 people. After eating, we walked to Xinghai Square to enjoy the sea breeze. 📍 Riyuesheng Seafood Restaurant (Xinghai Square Branch)

Dalian!! A hidden gem I visit every time I'm here... It really lives up to the local recommendations ?? So! So! Good!! The crispy, crunchy, savory, and spicy shredded potatoes! The more you eat, the more addictive they get!! A must-eat sea urchin rice when visiting Dalian! Sea urchin, salmon, sweet shrimp—packed with toppings!! The restaurant has its own seafood tank! The signature spoon worm rice and sea urchin dumplings are genuinely delicious 🥹🥹 You can see the ingredients before ordering, the portions are generous, and the prices are fair. It totally beats those viral restaurants!!! 🧭 Lao Dalian · Spoon Worm Rice · Dalian Seafood & Dalian Cuisine (Not far from Dalian Natural History Museum, Xinghai Square, Sun Asia Ocean World, and Xinghai Park) #Food near Xinghai Park
