Eilat travel guide and discussion

Let’s GO to Israel! This country is absolutely fabulous—get ready for mouthwatering food, stunning views, and wild adventures. You have to check out Eilat for the ultimate stay: it's perched right on the edge of the Red Sea (yep, the water here is crystal clear and sooo good for snorkeling, diving, and just splashing around 🤿🌊). Major vacation vibes! Eilat is on the southern tip of Israel and is famous for its beaches, crazy marine life, and chill resorts. Need the basics? It's an easy city to get around, with the main hotspots like Dolphin Reef (Dolphin Reef Beach, Eilat, open 9am–5pm) and Coral Beach Nature Reserve (South Beach, Eilat, open 9am–4pm). You’ll seriously never get bored! But wait, it gets better—book a tour to Jerusalem! This city is legendary for deep culture, ancient Old City walls, and those wow-moments you HAVE to share with your squad. Jerusalem’s Old City is packed with Insta-worthy spots: the Western Wall, Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and endless cute markets. Make sure to wander around early or catch that sunset magic. And the food? Israeli cuisine is a whole event—think hummus, falafel, shawarma… and so much more. Try local eats at Mahane Yehuda Market (Yafo St 90, Jerusalem, open Sun–Thurs 8am–8pm, Fri 8am–3pm, Sat closed). Epic vibes, epic views, and tons of history? Israel just hits different. If you want a combo of beach retreat and culture-packed adventures with your friends, this is THE spot. Check trip.com to sort your hotels and tours (trust, it’s super easy)!

I based myself in Eilat for three nights in March and did Coral Beach Nature Reserve and Dolphin Reef on the same morning. Bus 15 from North Beach to Coral Beach took 20 minutes, ₪5.90 tap-on card. Reserve entry is ₪40 adult (2026 NPA rate), open 09:00–18:00 summer, last entry 17:00.Inside, wooden bridges run over the reef—no need to snorkel to see parrotfish and brain coral, though I rented mask+fins at the kiosk for ₪30 and went in anyway. Water clarity at 10 am was absurd: 15 m visibility, surgeonfish weaving through staghorn. Then I walked 800 m south along the shore path to Dolphin Reef (₪67 entry, card only; snorkel-with-dolphins ₪295, dive ₪375 if prebooked). The draw isn't a tank—it's a roped-off bay where semi-wild bottlenoses cruise past a floating glass-bottom deck. I lay on the deck for 40 minutes and counted six surfacings; no touching, no feeding, which I respect more than a dolphin show. Mistake: I tried to do both after 13:00—Coral Beach light goes flat and Dolphin Reef deck gets crowded with package tourists. Morning is the deal. Another mistake: assuming cash works at Dolphin Reef; it's card-only now. Food inside Dolphin Reef is ₪45 for a sad salad, so eat at the Coral Beach kiosk (₪18 pita) beforehand. Verdict: Coral Beach alone is the better value (₪40 for world-class reef access), but Dolphin Reef's deck is the only place in Israel where you watch dolphins without a cage—stack them only if you start by 08:30. Question: would you pay ₪107 total for two adjacent Red Sea sites, or skip Dolphin Reef and snorkel Coral Beach twice?

My first visit to the Aria was wonderful. The rooms were beautiful, and the service was friendly. It was quiet, offering a nice break from the busy activities. All staff members and restaurant employees greeted us with smiles. I tried a few restaurants—Javier’s, Patisserie, and Salt and Ivy—all of which were excellent. The pool area was very nice, though I found it strange that it closed so early (7 pm) despite the summer sun and high temperatures. I enjoyed daily visits to the pool and had some fantastic cocktails.

This was our second time visiting, and it's definitely not a one-hit wonder. After staying at Aria in 2024, we knew this was the only place we’d stay when returning to this amazing city. We had a different room this time, but the same quality, cleanliness, and hospitality were still present. The breakfast was amazing, offering everything needed to energize us for a busy day of sightseeing. It was wonderful seeing Jason again—18 months ago, he made us feel like we were the only guests, and once again provided fabulous service.

I thought snorkeling was just "swimming and looking at fish," but it turned out... it's completely different! 😂 I almost got swept away by the current at Coral Beach 😅 It was my first snorkeling experience, and for the first 20 minutes, I was truly in shock! Seriously, the current constantly pulls you to the side, your mask fogs up, and all you can think about is: "I just hope I don't step on a sea urchin!" I looked down so intensely that I forgot how to breathe normally. At times, I felt like I was having a mini-panic attack—the depth, the waves, the terrifying current, and a real, living underwater world beneath you. It felt like you were in a computer game, only it was all real 😳 At some point, I just stopped, took a deep breath, and decided: "Either I calm down now, or I'll regret it later." And you know what? It was simply brilliant. The fear disappeared, and in its place came an incredible delight! I saw vibrant fish right next to the corals, clear water, and that very underwater world I'd previously only known about from YouTube videos. And these are emotions that can't be conveyed through a screen. Yes, it was truly scary, but it's moments like these that you remember most vividly. Now I understand people who fall in love with snorkeling the first time 🌊💙 If you've never tried it, you should definitely try it at least once in your life! Just don't start in areas with strong currents, like mine 🤣 Coral Beach is located in the Eilat area, Israel Address: Coral Beach Nature Reserve, Eilat, Israel Open: Daily 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Mask and equipment rentals available on site! Would you be able to overcome your fear for such an experience? 👀 If so, this underwater world is truly worth the visit!

Wow, this winter trip was full-on unforgettable! Kicked things off in Jerusalem’s Old City, with those ancient vibes and legendary spots like God’s Tomb Temple – literally soaked in history. Quick tip: Jerusalem’s Old City is open year-round, all day (no excuses—come anytime!), Address: Jerusalem. Next stop? Soaking up the sun and good vibes down at the Red Sea in Eilat. #Southeast Asia Flight Ticket Event The beach of Eilat, southern Israel. The area you see on the other side of the beach is Jordan. It is called Ofir Beach, but there were too many rocks to swim in. Swimming was not allowed due to the season, but when I got closer and looked at the water, it was so clear and clean.

#Southeast Asia Flight Ticket Event The southern sea of Israel is the Red Sea. The beach seen in Eilat. It is not a beach, so the surrounding area is not well-organized, but the blue sea is cool and very pretty. There is a separate area for swimming, and this is a sea where swimming is prohibited.

#Southeast Asia Flight Ticket Event Eilat, a resort town in southern Israel with expensive prices. A restaurant with a name called Steakhouse sold simple meals like a cafeteria. A pita set consisting of a drink and French fries cost 50 shekels. It was about 20,000 won in Korean currency, which was very cheap and delicious considering the local prices.

#Southeast Asia Flight Ticket Event The accommodation I stayed in Eilat, a resort in southern Israel. It was an apartment-style accommodation where I could cook in the room. It was composed of a living room, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom, so it was larger than a typical hotel room, and the kitchen utensils were clean and well-equipped. The distance to the beach was less than 10 minutes on foot.
