2025 Ocean Flower Island Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in July)

During our health and wellness trip to Ocean Flower Island, we stayed on Island No. 2. We spent several half-days exploring the exotic Outlets Commercial Street, which features a museum complex, wedding manor, food street, Hilton Twin Towers, Water Kingdom, Ocean Paradise, and Five-Nation Hot Spring Town. We took bus 105 to Ocean Flower Island Children's World, walked past the European Castle Hotel and the lotus at the International Convention Center, and strolled along the coastal path to the Commercial Street. The Outlets and Commercial Street meander along the coastline, including the German Black Forest, Mediterranean Italy, Orlando in the United States, and Russia. Stepping into the Outlets Commercial Street feels like entering a European town, experiencing the beauty of a diverse coastal town. Walking across the small bridge by the sea, it feels like being on a Mediterranean island. Seeing the Matryoshka dolls, you know you've arrived in Russia, and you can ride in an Italian aristocratic carriage. The museum complex has a total construction area of approximately 23,000m², consisting of eight modern single buildings, reproducing architectural art. Hall No. 2 is an art gallery and is open for free. The wedding manor is a popular attraction on Ocean Flower Island, with 9 romantic and elegant wedding halls, mainly in European style, integrating Japanese, Korean, Ming, and Qing architectural styles, providing comprehensive wedding services for newlyweds, worthy of being a romantic wedding destination on the island. The church, sea, lawn, and plants complement each other, full of festive elements. The Hilton Hotel is a twin tower, also known as the "Star Tower" and "Moon Tower," and is a landmark building and sightseeing tower on Ocean Flower Island. The Water Kingdom is closed. Young people like Ocean Paradise, which has an advanced artificial wave-making system and is an all-weather, indoor and outdoor, interactive marine theme park, including the Polar World, Tropical Rainforest, and Deep Sea Fantasy three major ecosystems and interactive projects. Opposite Ocean Paradise is the Five-Nation Hot Spring Town, with a construction area of 17,000m², consisting of five main pavilions: Finland, Turkey, Italy, Japan, and Thailand, and twenty-three Tang Houses, including hot springs, beaches, and seaside. We soaked in the hot springs and climbed onto the dilapidated pirate ship that crashed into the tip of an iceberg.

It's said that you can eat your way around the world without leaving the country. Stepping into the street, you'll feel like you've traveled back to the prosperous Ming and Qing dynasties. The bustling street is lined with comfortable chairs that look like floral bedspreads. The bustling crowd and a wide variety of traditional dishes will make you feel like you're in a different world. Stroll through the architectural complex that blends Lingnan cultural style, and indulge in various Cantonese dishes. The slow-cooked clear soup, Cantonese morning tea, and authentic Cantonese dishes are endless, offering you a taste of Lingnan. The Haikou Flower Island Food Street is also known as the International Commercial Street, including China Street (Lingnan, Sichuan, Huizhou styles), Southeast Asia Street (Thailand), German Street, Japanese Street, French Street, Dutch Street, Mediterranean Street, American Street, Italian Street, and Russian Street. Due to time constraints, we only visited China Street during our trip to Haikou Flower Island Food Street. It is said that due to the low tourist flow and the long detour to the distant streets, only China Street, which is closest to the central park, is popular. The other remote streets are very deserted, but they are worth a visit from a sightseeing perspective. Next time!

Jinli International Hotel, Huanhua Island, Huanhua Island Tong World, Huanhua Island, Danzhou After experiencing the lively and bustling traditional custom of the White Horse Well's 16th Day of the First Lunar Month, take a look at the beautiful scenery of Huanhua Island. Although I have been to Huanhua Island many times, there are still many places I haven't visited. This time, I entered Huanhua Island from Island No. 1, passed Tong World along the ring road, and entered the road leading to Jinli International Hotel. I took a look at Tong World Amusement Park from the outside along the hotel's ring road. Huanhua Island Tong World covers five major themed areas: Chinese mythology, Western European fairy tales, ancient Greek mythology, American tribal fairy tales, and ancient Arabian fairy tales, with over 30 international large-scale amusement projects. It must be quite lively inside Tong World now, but the exterior looks a bit deserted. However, looking at the world from a different angle, it really feels like looking at a ridge from the side, with different heights and distances.

Baimajing Town, Ocean Flower Island, Danzhou After experiencing the lively traditional custom of the 16th day of the first lunar month in Baimajing, head to Ocean Flower Island to enjoy the beautiful scenery. A brand-new road on the left side of the bridge on Island No. 2 leads to the sea, with a sign at the entrance reading "40th Army's First Landing Point." After visiting this memorial site, you will learn that this was the first landing point in the liberation of Hainan Island. The "40th Army's First Landing Point" is located on the west side of Chaotou Beach in Chaotou Village, Baimajing Town, Danzhou City, opposite Island No. 2 of Ocean Flower Island, on the left side of the bridge on Island No. 2. The first landing point in the liberation of Hainan Island was named the "40th Army's First Landing Point." On March 5, 1950, at 7 pm, the field army's vanguard battalion began its first sea crossing operation. More than 20 people, including cadres from Danzhou County and boatmen Lin Dijuan, Jian Changqiu, Huang Shenyang, Huang Tuzhuang, Lin Changrong, Liu Jichun, and Wan Xiaojing, each piloted 13 sailboats, carrying 799 officers and soldiers from the 352nd Regiment of the 118th Division of the 40th Army of the Fourth Field Army, set sail from Dengloujiao on the Leizhou Peninsula, and on the afternoon of the 6th, they headed straight for Chaotou Beach in Baimajing, and after a fierce battle, they successfully landed and joined forces with the vanguard battalion of the Qiongzong First Brigade. In this landing operation, more than 50 officers and soldiers were killed or injured, including Fu Shijun, platoon leader of the 3rd Company of the 1st Battalion of the 352nd Regiment of the 118th Division of the 40th Army. This historical event marked the official start of the People's Liberation Army's campaign to liberate Hainan Island and was the landing point for the vanguard battalion in the liberation of Hainan Island. The Baimajing landing point not only carries an immortal historical story but also bears witness to the heroic battle footprints. Other 2 flower are for residential. To reach, tourist must fly into either Haikou or Sanya Airport and then take the high speed train to Baimajin 白马井. From there, a local taxi (recommend Didi) can transport you to the island in approx. 20mins journey. Did a 2 night stay to avoid the crowds for festive. Day 1: 30th Landed into Baimajin in the afternoon Check in and relax Grab dinner at the food area within the island Day 2: 31st Woke up to spend the day in Ocean Park Must see (and only 2 shows time a day, remember to head there early to grab the best spot!): - White whale show - Dolphin Show - Sea Lion Show Due to Festivity, there's added night shows and activities related to chinese culture (7th image: 打铁花） At night, grab a bite at the food area or head on to the countdown party location (food stalls are set up for some snacking/ street food dinner). There's a concert prior to countdown.
