A few days ago, I visited a 3-story villa with my friends! On the first floor, there is a space where you can enjoy a jacuzzi while watching a big screen TV. On the second floor, there is a space where you can relax while looking at the leisurely scenery of Okcheon. The third floor has a bedroom where you can see clouds during the day and stars at night. Outside, there is a private heated pool and a barbecue area, so there are endless things to do all day long!! #TravelingMoon #Ho-kangs Okcheon, located not far from Daejeon, Bali-style stay located there. 'Birot' consists of 3 no-kids zone independent houses and 3 kids zone independent houses. The room I stayed in was room 3, which is a no-kids zone room. The first floor has a shower room, sink, jacuzzi, TV, sofa, and outdoor terrace. You can fully enjoy the charm of the beautiful space with the harmony of European-style beauty and Bali-style props. The outdoor terrace has a private pool, and it consists of an outdoor barbecue area and a fire pit area. The shower room amenities are Molton Brown, which is used at Shilla Hotel, and a Dyson hair dryer is also provided. The second floor has a bathroom, sink, living room, and kitchen, and the ceiling is really high, so you can enjoy the expansive mountain view that unfolds before your eyes through the large windows. LG StandbyMe, refrigerator, induction, microwave, etc., so it is a comfortable space like home. The third floor consists only of bedrooms, and there is a double bedroom and beanbag. The ceiling is small and beautifully diagonally cut along the roof shape, so it is a bedroom that is beautiful even when it rains, and you can also see the sunlight shining in the morning. The swimming pool is relatively deep and long, so it was nice to swim. The water temperature seemed to be lukewarm all day long. It was nice that I could swim whenever I wanted, and they give me powder when I make a fire, and when I sprinkled the powder in the fire, the fire changed into rainbow colors, which was nice and gave me a different experience. Water flows right in front of the stay, the walking path is well-made, and the view is so good that I think it will be really popular this summer. A new emotional accommodation located near Daejeon 🫶 Are you struggling to choose between a room with a swimming pool or a room with a jacuzzi when you go to a pool villa? If the weather is good and you don't have a bicycle, go and rent one and go on a bicycle picnic. The 100-ri road is about 50km long and consists of 8 courses, and it takes about 4 hours. If you ride the 100-ri road by bicycle, you will follow the Geumgang River, and as the Geumgang River flows by, you will continue to see beautiful nature. This time, while looking for a family travel destination, I learned about a new area called Okcheon! I liked the aquatic plant learning center with a lake in the middle of a lush forest, so I decided to visit Okcheon. As I mentioned in the title, I felt like this was not Korea‼️ as soon as I arrived, but it felt like a well-decorated European garden..(?) It was even prettier in person. The time I spent at the aquatic plant garden (the time it took) was about 3-4 hours(?) I think it was because I was taking pictures!! Just 40 minutes from Cheongju, the Janggae Tourist Site in Okcheon is a perfect destination to enjoy a vibrant display of hydrangeas! Currently, the walking trail along Daecheong Lake at Janggae Tourist Site is filled with blooming hydrangeas. When I visited last Tuesday, they were just starting to bloom, so by this week, the path should be fully adorned with these beautiful flowers. The view of hydrangeas against the backdrop of Daecheong Lake was truly stunning. #summervacay Okay, so I didn’t expect to be this obsessed with a plant center, but the Okcheon Aquatic Plant Learning Center? Kinda blew my mind. It's like a chill little paradise where you can walk through ponds, see floating gardens, and actually *learn* stuff without it feeling like school. Super peaceful, with dragonflies zipping around and frogs randomly jumping out like they own the place 😂. Inside, there's a mini-exhibit area with cool facts about how aquatic plants clean water (who knew duckweed was such a hero?). The outdoor walkways are totally Insta-worthy, especially during summer when everything’s blooming like crazy. You’ll feel like you’re walking through some dreamy nature documentary. #summervacay Took a relaxed hike through Recreational Forest, and it was the perfect nature reset. The trail is about 3.1 km long, winding through a mix of pine, maple, and cypress trees. Along the way, you’ll cross wooden bridges, pass by a wishing rock, and stroll through a peaceful garden. The forest is especially popular in autumn when the leaves turn vibrant colors. The forest is also home to Geumcheon Valley, known for its clear waters, adding to the serene atmosphere. If you're into nature walks, forest healing, or just need a peaceful spot to recharge, Jangnyeongsan is a great choice. Plus, it's got a campsite, convenience store, and lodging, making it easy to spend a day or even stay overnight. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just looking for a quiet place to enjoy nature, Jangnyeongsan offers a refreshing escape. Just bring water and comfy shoes for the best experience.

There are a lot of bakeries these days, right? Okcheon Porepora It's a two-story building, but there's a rooftop and a lot of tables outside behind the building The landscaping in the back is pretty, so it's a good place to heal with nature.

#summervacay Hit up Jangnyeongsan Mountain in Okcheon and wow, it’s one of those underrated gems that just surprises you. The trail eases you in with peaceful forest paths, super green and quiet, like, the kind of quiet where you can hear your own thoughts (and your stomach if you forgot snacks). It’s not too steep at first, so it’s perfect for warming up and just taking it slow. As you climb, the trees open up a bit and you start getting sneak peeks of the view. The higher you go, the better it gets, classic mountain layers, fresh breeze, and that cool moment when you realize you’re way above everything else. The summit has a chill vibe, perfect for taking a break and just soaking it all in. It’s not too crowded, which makes it even better. Just you, the mountain, and maybe a couple friendly hikers. If you’re ever in Okcheon and craving a peaceful adventure, Jangnyeongsan is totally worth checking out.

#summervacay So I wandered out to Buso Damak in Okcheon not really knowing what I was walking into, and wow, it was so peaceful. It’s not some huge touristy spot, which honestly makes it even better. Just calm nature vibes, a quiet reservoir, and some beautiful walking paths that make you feel like you're in a Studio Ghibli movie. The water was crazy still, and the way the trees reflected off the surface? Chef’s kiss. I just kept walking with no real plan, occasionally stopping to take it all in or sit on a random bench like some reflective poet (lol). Saw maybe two other people the whole time, which made it feel like my own little nature escape. No big signs, no crowds, just birds, breeze, and chill. If you bring snacks and headphones, you could easily spend half a day here just decompressing. Buso Damak might not be flashy, but it’s got that quiet magic. Definitely a hidden gem worth wandering into.

I wandered through some tiny streets with cozy little cafes and friendly locals who actually smile back (a rare find these days!). Found this random trail that led to a temple tucked in the hills, total hidden gem moment. It wasn’t packed or touristy at all, which made it even better. Stopped by a local market and grabbed some ridiculously good tteokbokki. Nothing fancy, but it hit the spot. Everything felt super authentic, and not in that “Instagrammable” way, just real and simple. If you ever want a break from the chaos and just want to roam with no agenda, Okcheon-gun’s got your back. Bring comfy shoes and just go with the flow.

I visited the Aquatic Plant Learning Center, also known as the Garden of Heaven, where you can enjoy over 500 species of aquatic plants and a European-style garden for a relaxing experience. There are plenty of photo spots, making it perfect for taking pictures. Advance reservations are a must! The admission fee is 8,000 KRW, and parking is free, so you can visit without any burden. The garden is designed around the ideas of "water and life," making it feel very natural and calming. The walking paths are easy and pleasant, making it a great place for a relaxed stroll. Whether you want a quiet break or a pretty background for photos, this spot has it all. Most people spend about 40 minutes to an hour looking around the garden. But if you like taking pictures, like I do, you might easily spend up to two hours here because there are so many beautiful spots to capture. Discounts: Cheaper tickets are available for people over 70, national heroes, people with disabilities, students, young children, local residents of Okcheon-gun, groups of 30 or more, and those with a "Digital Tourism Resident Card." Buso Damak, located in Chusori, Gunbuk-myeon, Okcheon-gun, has a beautiful scenery as part of the mountain was submerged in water due to the construction of Daecheong Dam. If you go up to the pavilion of Chusojeong, where you can see the spectacular view of Busodamak, you can only see the village across the street, the privately owned Mir Garden, and the long stretch of Busodamak, so it is hard to see.

#cherryblossom25 Best Place to visit with your family. There is a beautiful coffee shop inside. There is a smallest church in the world also with beautiful scenery around. It is also a fantastic place for nature lover. Lake view is outstanding. There is cafeteria from where you can take coffee and snacks and sit infront of the lake. Also, there is nursery from where you can buy plants. there are a small church and two beautiful castle looks alike houses.

#cherryblossom25 A great place to feel and experience the scent of Okcheon's history and culture, located in front of the birthplace of Mrs. Yuk Young-soo of Okcheon. It is also considered to be a good place for education for children and foreigners experiencing Korea for the first time. The buildings were large and well-organized, unbecoming of a small provincial town. It is a well-maintained parking spaces nearby, so I had no trouble parking at all.

#cherryblossom25 Jangyeongsan Mountain in Okcheon is a temple of Silla during the Three Kingdoms period. The road up to the temple was good, but the temple was surprisingly grand yet simple, and the rock-carved Buddha statue left a deep impression. If you go up the mountain behind the temple, you can see Okcheon. You can see it at a glance and it will heal properly. The Parking here is also easy to access. You can get to the observatory in about 20 minutes.

#cherryblossom25 Geumgang Recreation Area, located at 596 Geumgang-ro, Dong-myeon, Okcheon-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do, between Okcheon and Yeongdong IC on the Gyeongbu Expressway, which opened in 1970, is famous as a rest area on the Gyeongbu Expressway. The dam, created by blocking rugged mountains and valleys, has beautiful scenery and clean air, making it a place where vacationers and tourists gather. The scenery is so good. I arrived at sunrise and the evaporation process of the sorrounding water made my day.
