2025 Serra de Tramuntana Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in June)

Welcome to the town of Pollença. You’ll see that I’ve already visited the Port de Pollença, but today I travel approximately 6km inland to see the town that gave the port it’s name. It’s charming, it’s cute and you’ll want to spend more than a day here exploring all of the nooks and crannies it has to offer! As you look through the photos, you’ll see why this town has been listed as one of the most beautiful towns and villages to visit in Spain. It has a unique charm that doesn’t feel tainted by tourism in anyway. Make sure you climb the 365 steps that lead up to the Calvari church. Yes, you read that right - 365 steps - one for each day of the year! The Calvari church was built between 1795-1799. And to reward you for the effort in climbing the steps, there is a cafe to one side of the church. Make sure you look back over the climb you’ve just accomplished and Marcel at the scenery all around. This town also boasts the Pont Romano, or Roman Bridge, and you can discover that with me today. Another one of the town’s defining features is the Convent and Cloister of Sant Domingo. The cloisters are also home to the Museum of Pollença and it even houses a collection of contemporary art which was free to enter. Make sure you check out the Baroque cloister, famous for its four arched corridors. It was closed by time I got there, but I was able to take a sneak peek. It’s here that music concerts and festivals take place. After a lot of walking and exploring, it was time to relax with a cold beer. I headed back to the bottom of the calvari steps to enjoy a bit of time in this outdoor bar. Along the way, you’ll see many examples of the cute blonde stonework that make this town so popular with locals and tourists alike. If food is an indispensable part of an island vacation, then the restaurant’s atmosphere must be the finishing touch of the dining experience. Here is the collection guide! Il Paradiso Restaurante Marivent This Italian restaurant is located in Cala Major, a bay in downtown Palma. The interior retains the luxurious style of 20th century palace architecture. Outdoors, there are oval floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the bay, where you can enjoy the sunset while dining. The creamy shrimp pasta and cheese and mushroom macaroni are especially recommended. The fillet steak paired with Maurus red wine is also carefully seasoned with foie gras and truffles. La Fortaleza This Mediterranean restaurant is located in the luxurious Cap Rocat castle hotel on the bay of Palma. This former military fortress was transformed by the owner Antonio Obrador into one of the island's five-star hotels with the highest ceilings. The interior is decorated with gorgeous ceiling pendants and elegant curtains. Dining on the outside terrace is accompanied by the lights of the old town in the distance and the gurgling sound of the fountain. There are two options for dinner: five or seven-course tasting menus. Wines from various countries from world-renowned wineries always impress wine lovers. In 2012, it won the Balearic Islands Hotel Gourmet Award. Mesón Ca'n Pedro This historic Mallorcan restaurant is located on the top of Mount Génova on the outskirts of Palma and was built in 1976. The atmosphere of this restaurant comes not only from the simple and old-fashioned solid wood table setting, but also from its popularity among locals. Here you can taste down-to-earth authentic Mallorcan dishes, and we recommend the stone grilled meat, Arroz Brut soup and rice, Frito Mallorquin Mallorcan stir-fry and Caracoles special snails. NENI Mallorca Facing the charming port of the orange town of Soller, the exquisite Bohemian style is unique with woven chairs, tassel flower pots and Moroccan-style tableware. The food is inspired by a combination of the best of Lebanese and Mediterranean flavors. Middle Eastern kebabs and lamb rolls are very popular. Of course, the most noteworthy thing is definitely the open mountain and sea views. Tim's Located in Port d'Andratx, a southwest port where many yachts dock, this live music bistro offers drinks, delicious food and snacks while admiring the orange sunset. The relaxed atmosphere, charming scenery and romantic guitar and harmonica melodies are cleverly combined to make you feel relaxed and comfortable.

The crystal-clear waters were simply breathtaking, makinng it the perfect spot to kick off the day with some sun and relaxation. The beach is peaceful and not overcrowded, which makes it ideal for unwinding. #beachlife #explore Tip: If you are visiting during the high summer season, try to arrive early to secure a good spot on the beach. The water is perfect for swimming, and the surroundings are incredibly picturesque. 🥘 After soaking up the sun, I headed to a local restauranr along the way back to the hotel for some traditional Spanish tapas. The tapas were delicious and gave me a real taste of the island’s cuisine - a must try experience! From patatas bravas to jamon iberico. #foodie #localfood 🏘️ Once back at the hotel, we refreshed ourselves with a quick shower and set out again. This time, we drove to the city center of Palma, Mallorca’s vibrant capital. Strolling through the charming streets of Palma was an absolute delight. We visited the awe-inspiring Cathedral of Santa Maria of Palma (La Seu), an architectural masterpiece that you can’t miss. The cathedral is even more stunning when you see it up close, and the surrounding are is perfect for a leisurely walk. #historicallandmarks #sightseeing Tip: The cathedral is especially beautiful at sunset when the light hits its intricate details. It’s also worth exploring the nearby Palma Old Town, with its narrow streets, shops, and cafes. 🍷 To cap off the day, we dined at De Tokio a Lima, a popular restaurant offering fusion cuisine right in the heart of Palma. I highly recommend it! The food and ambiance were exceptional, and it’s a great spot for a memorable dinner after a day of sighseeing. #deliciousfood Tip: If you are staying in Palma, this restaurant is in a prime location - easy to access, with plenty of other attractions around to explore before or after your meal. This day was a perfect mix of relaxation, culture and incredible food. Mallorca has so much to offer, and if you are planning a trip, don’t miss out on these experiences. #DecemberTravelSupportEvent When you come to Mallorca, you travel to three places: Valldemossa, Deia, and Soller. I like Deia the best among them. The town is cute and similar to Valldemossa, but Valldemossa feels like a tourist destination. On a nice day, Deia is even more heavenly🤍✨

Bring your family, it's so beautiful. Mallorca is worth a visit. Palma de Mallorca —— The pearl of the Mediterranean. Highly recommend adding Mallorca to your travel destinations. You really shouldn't miss it when in Spain. Palma has an international airport, you can fly directly here, or you can take a boat from Barcelona back and forth. Either way, it's very close and convenient. We went to the two most famous jelly seas. 📍Caló del Moro Almost everyone who comes to Palma visits this jelly sea, but climbing is not convenient, and you may even need to use your hands and feet. It is suggested to appreciate it from a high place, where you can also see the gradient jelly blue. 📍S’Almonia These two are very close to each other, I personally prefer this beach. After going down the stairs, it's just a few steps to the sea. The water is quite shallow, suitable for going into the sea. The water is really blue and jelly-like. We spent most of our time here. In the afternoon, the sunlight makes the surface of the water glitter, which is also very beautiful. When you come to Palma, you must not miss these two beaches. Although you have to take a long bus ride and walk a bit by yourself, the moment you see the jelly sea, you really feel it's worth it.
