Wat Phichitthayakaram Worawihan, pay homage to Luang Pho Dam

#Bangkok attractions Wat Phichaiyatikararam Worawihan, or as locals call it, "Wat Phichaiyati", is located in Khlong San District, Bangkok, near Phuttha Bridge. It is a second-class royal temple, Worawihan type, built in 1841 by Somdet Chao Phraya Borom Maha Phichaiyati (That Bunnag). Location: Somdet Chao Phraya Road, Somdet Chao Phraya Subdistrict, Khlong San District, Bangkok (behind, you can see the three-spire prang). Visitors admire the outstanding architecture with Chinese and Thai influences, which was a popular style during the reign of King Rama III. Important highlights: * Ubosot: It is a Chinese-style architecture, without gable and raka leaves. Inside is enshrined Phra Phuttha Siddhartha (Luang Pho Somprathan), a Buddha statue in the Mara-Vijaya attitude invited from Phitsanulok. * Prang Sam Yot: It is an important highlight of the temple, located behind the Ubosot. There is a beautiful main prang and the relics of the Lord Buddha are enshrined. * Chinese stucco and stone dolls: The ordination hall is decorated with stucco dragons, Kalpavriksha trees, and Chinese stone dolls, which were found on Chinese junks. * Three Kingdoms stone carvings: The outer base of the ordination hall has 22 stone carvings of the Three Kingdoms. * Luang Pho Dam: Another sacred Buddha image, believed to protect people traveling by water. Wat Phichit Yatikaram Worawihan is a place suitable for making merit, worshiping, and studying beautiful art.
