If you have a free day in Beijing and are unsure where to go, I recommend visiting the largest museum in China. The National Museum of China showcases exhibitions on the country's extensive history and culture spanning over 5,000 years, covering various dynasties. The museum has five floors. The top floor features both temporary and permanent exhibitions, while the ground floor is dedicated to "Ancient China," displaying artifacts from the Stone Age to the Qing Dynasty. Exhibits include ancient relics, clothing, treasures, crowns, rings, and both 3D-printed replicas and authentic items. Highlight: If you're interested in seeing jade armor, this is the place to visit! ✨ Admission is free, but you must register in advance. Reservations can be made up to 7 days prior via WeChat. The museum is closed every Monday and open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Getting there: Take subway line 1 to Tian'anmen East Station and exit at Gate C (North 2). The museum is located opposite Tian'anmen Square, making it possible to visit both sites in one day.
