Turtle Ship Model Exhibition

At the National Maritime Museum, visitors can vividly experience the essence of Joseon-era maritime military culture through the exhibition of a turtle ship model based on historical research. A 1/25 scale model of the turtle ship is displayed in the Navigation Hall, featuring a roof and gun ports that replicate the actual structure of the Panokseon. This allows visitors to understand the combat methods of the Joseon navy during the Japanese invasions at a glance. Children are often amazed by the grandeur of the turtle ship, exclaiming, "The turtle ship is so big!" Adults can also gain a detailed understanding of the historical context and ship structure, making it an educational experience for all ages.
