Westin Josun Busan Executive Twin Room Park View

The eighth hotel in my journey to visit all Josun Hotels is the Westin Josun Busan. Josun Hotels operates a total of 10 properties, and so far, I’ve visited them in the following order: Westin Josun Seoul, Gravity Seoul Pangyo, Grand Josun Busan, Grand Josun Jeju, Josun Palace, L’Escape Hotel, and Paraspapara Seoul. I made the reservation over the phone. The view towards Haeundae Beach costs about 70,000 KRW more, so I opted for the Dongbaek Island view instead. However, even this view varies depending on the room’s location. If you communicate well during the reservation process, you can secure a room with the best possible view. Although it’s labeled as a park view, you can still see the ocean, the skyscrapers of Marine City, and even a glimpse of the Gwangan Bridge. I was pre-assigned a room on the highest floor, which offers a fantastic view. Since the lounge access and afternoon tea allow you to enjoy the Haeundae view extensively, I think I made a good choice with this room, especially for its stunning nighttime scenery. Thank you for assigning me such a great room! The building condition reflects its age, allowing you to feel its history. The windows open wide, and the heating and cooling systems, furniture, bathroom tiles, and facilities have an old-fashioned charm. Despite the age, everything is well-maintained and clean. After check-in, I headed to the Club Lounge on the 2nd floor for afternoon tea time. It was around 3 PM, and since I had traveled from Seoul on an empty stomach, I decided to try one of each item available. The selection included three types of baked goods, five types of cookies, and three types of fruits. The beverage options were diverse, with whole apples and oranges available. Initially, all the window seats were occupied, but soon a spot opened up, and I moved there. The view from the window seat is breathtaking, though this is true only during the day. At night, it’s pitch dark, and in the morning, the sunlight is dazzling. Staying in a club room feels like being part of a feeding system, as you end up having all three meals in the lounge. 😂 After enjoying afternoon tea at the lobby lounge, Panorama Lounge, and taking a one-hour break, I joined the Happy Hour session at 7 PM. Although it operates in two sessions, there’s no need for a separate reservation; it’s first-come, first-served. Due to the large number of guests, the food is set up all at once, and additional servings are limited to one round. Afterward, I headed to Yongdusan Park to complete my itinerary. Traveling to and from Haeundae took about two hours. If you’re staying in this area, I wouldn’t recommend visiting Nampo-dong. 😂 I left around 8 PM and returned to the hotel after 11 PM. Walking along the trail behind Dongbaek Island, where the hotel is located, I encountered rocks and waves, with the Haeundae nightscape unfolding across the way. The sound of the waves provided a moment of solitary meditation. There’s an entrance directly connected to the basement level (B1), which is also accessible via elevator, making movement extremely convenient. 👍 Back in the room, the beautiful night view of Marine City’s skyscrapers greeted me. I filled the bathtub for a relaxing soak and then lay down on the Heavenly Bed, which made me feel like I was floating in the sky. I fell asleep effortlessly. The next morning, breakfast was served in the lounge. I went down around 7:30 AM, and only three other groups were dining. However, all the blinds by the windows were drawn to block the sunlight. The lounge breakfast doesn’t include rice but offers abalone porridge, chicken, sausages, bacon, and other items in an American breakfast style. It’s simple and less comprehensive compared to a full-course regular breakfast. The grapefruit juice was particularly enjoyable. The fitness center, swimming pool, and sauna are located on the basement level (B1), but they’re technically on the ground floor (1F). The windows are covered with film, but you can still see the Haeundae Beach view. The sauna is spacious and open, providing a relaxing experience. I had a great time and left feeling refreshed. Thank you.
