Cardiff is a magical city with so much history at its centre, the castle is a very well known landmark - but a hidden gem Of Cardiff is its range of Victorian arcades. Cardiff has seen a lot of development over the last few years but it still has some very unique features with an old world charm. The arcades are beautifully restored and have lots of original Victorian features, some even have their upper balconies restored too. They feature lots of cafes, restaurants and independent stores - and on the upper levels have dentists, massage parlours and some offices too. The castle quarter arcades and the high street arcade offer the most stores, and barkers tea house in the castle arcade is KT favourite daytime spot. Across the arcade is their gin bar which is an amazing place to start your night in Cardiff. Usually used to cut through between St Mary’s and Queen street these arcades don’t get enough attention for the architectural wonders that they are!
