Introduction to Zagana Location Zagana is located in Yiwa Township, Diebu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, China (some sources mention Yiwa Town; please refer to the latest information). It is about 30 kilometers from Diebu County town and is a naturally formed "stone city." In Tibetan, it means "stone box." The terrain resembles a grand giant palace, surrounded by towering Guangai Mountain stone peaks, cliffs, and rock walls, forming a unique enclosed natural landscape. Inside are scattered Tibetan villages such as Dongwa, Yeri, Dari, and Daiba, with an average altitude of about 3,000 meters. Reasons to Recommend Unique Natural Scenery: The Guangai Mountain stone peaks to the north are known as "Stone Mirror Mountain" due to the gray-white rocks reflecting light. The eastern cliffs soar into the clouds, the southern stone peaks face each other forming a stone gate, with a mix of canyons, forests, and glacial relics. When shrouded in mist, it looks like a fairyland. American botanist Joseph Rock called it "the birthplace of Adam and Eve." Pristine Cultural Atmosphere: The Tibetan villages preserve traditional wooden plank houses, prayer flags fluttering.
