My Solo Itinerary (Revisited): · Morning – Medieval Majesty & Climb: Started at Gravensteen—the impressive Castle of the Counts—and climbed its ramparts for dreamy views over Ghent’s guild houses and canals. Wandered through the Patershol district, a quiet tangle of streets with hidden cafés and antique shops. · Afternoon – Art, Fries & Belgian Beer: Revisited the Ghent Altarpiece at St. Bavo’s Cathedral, then treated myself to crispy Belgian fries with stoofvlees (beef stew) from a local frituur. Enjoyed a sunny moment along the Graslei—the most photogenic spot in the city. · Evening – Lights & Local Vibes: As dusk fell, I experienced the magical illumination of the city’s monuments.
