Hidden Paradise in Guizhou! Healing Experience at The Well House in Jiayi Miao Village

This time, we escaped the hustle and bustle of the city and traveled to Jiayi Miao Village in Rongjiang, Qiandongnan. We chose "The Well House," nestled above the terraced fields, and it turned out to be a soul-cleansing journey! The guesthouse is located at the highest point of the thousand-year-old Miao Village, offering views of layered terraced fields and distant mountains right outside the window. In the early morning, the mist creates a fairyland-like atmosphere. The architecture retains the traditional features of the fir wood stilted houses, blending rustic charm with modern comfort after renovation. The rooms are spacious and bright, with a faint woody fragrance. The highlight was the complimentary **Yao herbal bath**, where soaking in the fragrant herbs provided complete relaxation for the body and mind! The staff (especially the butler, Ah Deng) were warm and attentive. They not only guided us through the ancient alleys of the Miao Village but also recommended authentic dishes like sour fish soup and colorful glutinous rice, which left a lasting impression. Watching the sunset dye the terraced fields red from the observation deck in the evening and stargazing at night instantly washed away all worries.
