Shanghai Weekend 11 | I Captured Photos of Geese in Qianlong's Hometown

I have to say, these geese are the best NPCs of Yanguan Ancient Town! They inject soul into this city of tidal music! As soon as I entered the scenic area, I saw them swimming out from Gongchen Gate, in neat formation, perfectly embodying "white feathers floating on green water, red palms stirring clear waves." Then, led by the lead goose, they came ashore, proudly raising their necks and calling out. Sometimes they sang together loudly, sometimes they stretched their necks to forage, their movements synchronized. The ballet "Four Little Swans" definitely draws its art from life! 📸 Route from north to south: P4: Gongchen Gate | Blue water and sky, autumn leaves colorful, like God's palette spilled; P5: Royal Wharf | The dock where Qianlong disembarked in Yanguan four times; P6: City God Temple | The only remaining City God Temple in northern Zhejiang, with Taoist priests practicing inside, and two giant ginkgo trees in front of the hall reaching the sky; P7: Chen Elder’s Residence | Recently the focus of Qing Palace secrets, hahaha, the fact that Qianlong was a son of the Chen family is displayed at the main gate and told to everyone; P9: Police Station | A Republic of China style check-in spot, perfect for shooting spy dramas without any set, very atmospheric. After passing through a deserted area, I arrived at the southern district: P11: Jin Yong Book Café | A courtyard and menu full of martial arts vibe; P12: Library Pavilion | Materializes Jin Yong’s martial arts world, with various martial arts manuals, saw the Zhenlong Chessboard, and learned the locations of Peach Blossom Island, Black Wood Cliff, and Bright Summit; P13: Sea God Temple | Modeled after the Beijing Forbidden City, known as the Silver Luan Hall, also one of the "proofs" that Qianlong was a son of the Chen family; P14/15: Confucius Academy; P18: Zhan’ao Tower | An ancient tower by the Qiantang River, when there’s no tide, the sea and sky blend beautifully, stirring the heart. 🈯️Tips (Avoid Pitfalls): 1⃣ Ginkgo check-in spots: City God Temple, inner courtyard of Chen Elder’s Residence, Confucius Academy, Sea God Temple; 2⃣ The distance from the northern to southern area is long, the scenery is nice but it’s a deserted zone. If you find the walk too far, it’s recommended to take the scenic area electric cart, but it’s perfect for photo check-ins with no worries about people in the shot; 3⃣ Dining areas are concentrated on the street from Gongchen Gate to Royal Wharf, eat early because there are no restaurants beyond this village; 4⃣ Shared power banks are hard to find, and there are few restrooms. We finally found a shared power bank at Jin Yong Book Café, which was a lifesaver; 5⃣ Zhan’ao Tower and the tide-watching spot are outside the scenic area and require an additional 30 RMB ticket.
