Himeji Castle

I visited the world heritage site, Himeji Castle! Known as the "White Heron Castle," its brilliant white main keep is truly breathtaking. The contrast against the clear blue sky was stunning, and its presence was remarkable even from afar. Inside the castle, you can find remnants of strategic features like stone walls, turrets, and loopholes, making it a fascinating experience. Climbing the wooden stairs to the top floor, I was rewarded with a panoramic view of Himeji city, accompanied by a refreshing breeze. The surrounding gardens and moat scenery also exude charm, making it perfect for a leisurely stroll. Despite the number of tourists, the spacious grounds allowed for a comfortable visit. This iconic Japanese castle is packed with historical romance and beauty!
