THE MATCHA TOKYO (Causeway Bay)

#chinatrip One of the best matcha I’ve had so far. I tried the Japanese Premium (was recommended this as it was their bestseller) and it was so creamy with a silky smooth taste that was very light and easy to drink. With light and mellow grassiness, a touch of earthiness and a pleasant savoury ending. It was not too bitter, rather, had subtle but well balanced bitterness that develops into an umami flavour. It was not too diluted or too powdery: just the right texture and consistency, whisked to perfection. So good I had to get another cup! I went to the location at Causeway Bay, there aren’t any seats but there is a small standing table where you can enjoy your matcha while watching the bustling streets of Causeway Bay through the window! I had a relaxing morning.
