Hong Kong｜Have a Bowl of Tofu Pudding at Cheung Sheung Campsite

Cheung Sheung Campsite is located in Sai Kung West Country Park. Surrounded by trees, the campsite offers a quiet and comfortable environment, making it a great place to relax your mind. There is a small store at Cheung Sheung Campsite that operates on weekends and public holidays. During holidays or hiking seasons, it becomes very lively. I’m very happy to have such a unique store to sit down and rest during a long trek. Eating a bowl of tofu pudding on the mountain, looking at the grassland and a few calves, these memories feel especially precious. (The store even has photos of Chow Yun-fat having been there.) 😊 Starting from May, as summer approaches, the wildflowers on the mountain bloom 🌸. The weather is hot, so there’s no need to start too early. I usually plan my time well and pass by Ngau Yee Shan, watch the sunset 🌅, then retreat via Pak Tam Au. You can also enjoy the sea views all around before heading down the mountain, making for a happy day. 🥰 There are many routes to reach Cheung Sheung Campsite, so you can choose the hiking path that suits you best. 🚶🚶🚶 Hiking routes: 1: Ko Tong — Cheung Sheung — Ngau Yee Shan — Pak Tam Au 🌸 This route (1) is highly recommended because you can see the sunset, and the Pak Tam Au section is a downhill retreat, which is less strenuous. 2: Pak Tam Au — Ngau Yee Shan — Cheung Sheung — Ko Tong 3: (Shui Long Wo - Kei Ling Ha) — Kai Kung Shan — Thunder Stone — Cheung Sheung — Ngau Yee Shan — Pak Tam Au (This is the full third section of the MacLehose Trail. It’s a long and steep mountain path, so it’s not recommended to hike this route in summer.) 4: Pak Tam Au — Ngau Yee Shan — Cheung Sheung — Thunder Stone — Kai Kung Shan — (Kei Ling Ha — Shui Long Wo) This is the reverse direction of route (3). 🚌 Transportation: (Monday to Sunday) Take bus No. 94 from Sai Kung Bus Terminus to "Ko Tong" or "Pak Tam Au" stop, then start hiking to "Cheung Sheung Campsite." 🚐 Minibus: (Monday to Sunday) Take minibus No. 7 from Sai Kung Bus Terminus to "Ko Tong" stop, then hike to "Cheung Sheung Campsite." ⌛️ Hiking from Ko Tong to Cheung Sheung Campsite takes about 1 hour. 🚌: (Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays) Take bus No. 94 from Sai Kung Bus Terminus, bus No. 96R from MTR Diamond Hill Station Bus Terminus, or bus No. 289R from Sha Tin City Centre Bus Terminus to "Ko Tong" or "Pak Tam Au" stop, then start hiking to "Cheung Sheung Campsite." #HongKongGoodPlaces #HikingSpots #CheungSheung #WeekendGetaway #HongKongHikingOuting
