Guanyin Temple at Tsz Shan – Braving the Rain to Pay Respects

On the day I visited the Guanyin Temple at Tsz Shan, it was raining heavily since morning. Yet, the atmosphere was serene and tranquil. The temple is situated on a hill, offering a stunning view of the sea from above. This temple does not have incense-burning areas or sell amulets, but it features a small museum where visitors can learn about Guanyin and the temple's history. The exhibits are well-organized and quite fascinating. The highlight of the temple is the large white Guanyin statue in the courtyard. The gentle rain added an air of mystique and calmness to the scene. It’s an ideal spot for those seeking a simple and peaceful place to pray or a quiet corner to reflect amidst nature in Hong Kong.
