High cost-performance semi-buffet

Eating out in Hong Kong nowadays is indeed much cheaper than before. As long as you are willing to explore carefully, a lot of previously unbelievable deals will be presented right before you. Including this one, the semi-buffet at the Royal Pacific Hotel. Let's look at the food first, and talk about the price at the end! At the buffet table, there are various salads, including the basic vegetables, cherry tomatoes, and corn, as well as refreshing pomelo salad, radicchio salad, cured meat salad, and prawn salad, among others. The cold dishes also include my favorites: Cold Cut, smoked salmon, smoked duck breast, and squid, which help to whet the appetite. For those who eat lightly, after tasting several salads, you might already be quite full. As for me, after having a slice of pizza, I moved on to the main course. The pizza here is ultra-thin, with a crispy crust, simply topped with tomato sauce, Thousand Island dressing, and some green and red peppers, which tastes great. When three people dine together, we order different main dishes to enjoy more variety. My choice is the grilled halibut with Saikyo miso. The fish is definitely tender, and I have always liked the Saikyo miso style, but what impressed me more was the Italian rice cake underneath, pan-fried to a slight crisp with a rich cheese aroma—very tempting. Another dish is the pan-fried tiger prawns, generously served with four prawns. The prawn heads have a sweet prawn roe flavor, and the meat is springy. The herb cream sauce is also very flavorful. After trying these two main dishes, I feel they have improved compared to before. The third dish is the pan-fried Bao Yun crispy lamb rack, a very thick cut, perfectly cooked with tender meat and a slight gamey aroma. I didn’t care about manners and grabbed a big bite with my hands—so satisfying! Having had some pumpkin soup, I was already quite full, so it was time to move on to desserts. Rich brownies, soft bread pudding, delicate matcha mousse, and refreshing passion fruit mousse—considering the price of this semi-buffet, it’s more than satisfactory! Feeling indulgent, I finished with a cup of coffee and another cup of lemon tea, fully satisfied.
