#Hong Kong #Victoria Peak #Wan Chai district #Hong Kong Coast Defence museum. We're back in Hong Kong again. Victoria Peak offers a stunning view of the entire city. Mid-Levels Escalator – the longest outdoor escalator in the world. Hong Kong's Manhattan – the skyscrapers of the Central District. This time we visited the Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence – a truly interesting and important place in Hong Kong, often overlooked by tourist guides. Address: 175 Tung Hei Road, Shau Kei Wan. It's located in the historic Lei Yue Mun Fort, which strategically guarded the eastern entrance to Victoria Harbour. Admission is very nominal (about 10 HKD for adults). Admission is free on Wednesdays. The museum is housed in a well-preserved 19th-century fort with real cannons, tunnels, and underground ammunition depots. The fort's walls offer panoramic views of the Lei Yue Mun Strait. It's ideal for those interested in history and military affairs, as well as those seeking a break from the bustling tourist areas.
