Suzhou's Hidden Paradise! A Stunning Experience at Wei Garden Homestay

During my trip to Suzhou, I specifically chose the "Wei Garden Homestay" tucked away near Pingjiang Road, and it truly exceeded my expectations! This homestay feels like a serene oasis amidst the bustling city, with its gray bricks, black tiles, and deep courtyards. Stepping inside is like traveling back in time to the old days of Jiangnan's water towns. The homestay is a renovated century-old residence that retains the essence of Suzhou-style architecture. The courtyard is filled with the fragrance of osmanthus trees, and soft light filters through the intricately carved wooden windows, making every detail poetic. The rooms are themed around "Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter." I stayed in "Autumn Pavilion," which featured handmade Suzhou embroidery bedding and antique-style celadon tea sets by the window. Brewing a pot of Biluochun tea and watching raindrops slide off the roof tiles instantly made me understand the feeling of "being in a painting." The owner, an artist passionate about Suzhou culture, arranged a private tour for us, taking us to hidden corners of the Couple's Garden that are not open to the public. He even performed Suzhou-style storytelling and ballad singing on the spot. Breakfast included freshly made Ding Sheng Cake and Gorgon Fruit Soup, paired with Biluochun tea, offering a refined taste of Suzhou's culinary delicacies.
