Intrigued by a friend's photo of the "Ladder of Sushi," I visited a great value Japanese restaurant in Kwun Tong. Besides Japanese cuisine, they also offer Japanese BBQ, making them a highly-rated eatery among Kwun Tong office workers. 🍣🍜Hashi Sushi Set with Udon $168 (Tuna, red shrimp, whitefish, ark shell, seared shad, fresh fish of the day, tuna paste and caviar hand roll) This is the long-awaited "Ladder of Sushi" set. Six pieces of sushi are presented on a ladder-like tiered stand, each tier featuring a different flavor of sushi, fresh and plump, making it a must-try. The tuna paste and caviar hand roll is generously topped with roe and is incredibly flavorful. Every bite is incredibly satisfying. The set also comes with chawanmushi, daikon radish, miso soup, and hot udon soup, making for a generous portion. 🌈 Rainbow Roll $88 The rainbow roll is beautifully presented, adorned with rose petals, black fish roe, and gold foil each year. My favorite is the scallops, which are plump, fresh, and full of flavor. 🍢 Bacon and Cheese Rice Cake (2 skewers) $22 The smoky, chewy cheese rice cake is fragrant and glutinous, and the bacon adds a rich cheese flavor. 🐟 Salt-grilled Hamachi $68 The Hamachi is rich in fat and delicious. A squeeze of lemon juice and a dip in the sauce create a sweet and sour taste that effectively counteracts the greasiness. 🐮 Salt-grilled Ox Tongue (2 skewers) $38 The ox tongue is tender and juicy.
