Heyuan Lianping Nectarine Adventure: In Search of Geographically Certified Delicacies

Every year, I long for the taste of Lianping nectarines from Heyuan. This year, the nectarines are ripe again, so it's time to plan a two-day, one-night nectarine food adventure. On the first day, head to the nectarine planting base in Shangping Town, Lianping County. There are many orchards to choose from, so pick one that suits you. The entire mountainous area is planted with nectarines, such as the Nongpai No. 3 Nectarine Planting Base. Lianping, the hometown of nectarines, boasts over 20,000 acres of nectarine orchards. The picking season typically lasts only about 20 days, so you’ll need to act fast. You can chat with the local farmers, pick the nectarines yourself, and enjoy the fun of harvesting. Then, savor the crisp, sweet, and juicy peaches at your leisure. Don’t forget to take a few boxes back to the city with you. For lunch, try local Hakka cuisine at Shangping Renjia, such as their signature "Old Eight Dishes," and enjoy the unique flavors. After the meal, take a stroll around the area to soak in the rural atmosphere. Check in at Lianping Nanfang Hotel for the night. After resting, take a walk around the hotel to enjoy the surrounding scenery.
