This guesthouse in Lijiang is unbelievably beautiful!

I've struck gold in Lijiang! This guesthouse is literally a dream room! As soon as you enter, there's a stunning aerial art garden, with a rose waterfall so beautiful it leaves you speechless. Every snapshot looks like a masterpiece, and the original photos are breathtaking! Climb up to the rooftop, and you get a full view of Lijiang Old Town and Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Sunbathing and stargazing here are absolutely amazing. The location is fantastic, on Wuyi Street, Wenhua Alley in the Old Town—quiet yet lively. The courtyard and rooms are so peaceful, you wouldn't believe you're in the heart of the Old Town. The rooms feature a minimalist luxury style, clean and comfortable, with super soft DeRUCCI mattresses and a bathtub for a relaxing soak. The owner is super nice, helps with luggage, and provides travel tips and food maps. Just a few minutes' walk to Sifang Street and Zhongyi Market, making eating and drinking very convenient. If you come to Lijiang, don’t miss this hidden gem of a guesthouse! 🏠 Zhuxieting·Grace Aerial Garden Art Guesthouse with Panoramic Views of the Old Town and Snow Mountain (Lijiang Old Town Branch) 📍 No. 7, Yishang Wenhua Alley, Wuyi Street, Lijiang Old Town District

Why Lijiang & Young Marshal Li’s Mansion Are My Go-To Getaway Tucked away in the clouds of Yunnan, Lijiang Ancient Town is a dream woven from cobblestones and mist. Its slate streets wind like silver ribbons through tile-roofed houses, where gurgling streams hum alongside the soft tinkle of wind chimes from wooden storefronts. At dusk, the golden glow of lanterns spills over whitewashed walls, painting the air with a warmth that feels like a hug from the past—ancient yet alive, quiet yet brimming with the soft chatter of travelers and locals sharing stories over bowls of spicy rice noodles. And if you’re looking for a place to land after wandering those magical streets, skip the fancy resorts and book a room at Young Marshal Li’s Mansion—it’s a total game-changer, and here’s why. First off, the location can’t be beaten: it’s right in the heart of Lijiang Ancient Town, and the city’s tallest viewing platform is just behind the inn. No more trekking miles with sore feet to catch that postcard-perfect sunset over the roof-tops—you can stumble back to your room in minutes after soaking in the view. When I showed up with my parents, we were drowning in luggage, and the staff didn’t even hesitate—they rolled out a cart and helped us haul everything to our room before we could say “thank you.” The inn itself is a cozy traditional courtyard house, and let me tell you, the upgrades are chef’s kiss. The owner said he just took it back last year after renting it out, and he’s clearly poured care into every corner: the facilities are all shiny and new, the rooms are spotlessly clean (no dusty corners or weird musty smells here), and the courtyard is the kind of spot where you can sip tea in the morning while listening to birds chirp. But the real win? The owner’s other spots. He’s got a handful of inns and a restaurant nearby, each with its own vibe—but we stuck to this courtyard because it felt like home. We tried his private kitchen too, and wow—that was the highlight for my parents. The prices are super reasonable, the flavors are authentic Yunnan fare, and it’s the only place during our trip that hit that “home-cooked” sweet spot for their picky palates. My mom’s still raving about the braised pork and wild mushroom soup weeks later. This isn’t some stuffy, overpriced inn where you feel like a stranger—it’s a spot where the staff remembers your coffee order by day two, where the owner chats with you like an old friend, and where you leave with full bellies and even fuller hearts. Lijiang’s magic is in its quiet charm, and Young Marshal Li’s Mansion captures that exactly—no pretense, just good vibes and a roof that feels like yours. Trust me, once you leave, you’ll already be counting down the days to come back. Here’s to the boss—may his business thrive, and may his private kitchen never run out of that mushroom soup!
