Luoyang / Tianzi Jia Liu Museum

I really enjoy museums that focus on archaeological sites. Previously, I visited the Deshou Palace Ruins Museum in Hangzhou. These types of museums are great for immersing oneself in history and imagining the lives of people in the past. Tianzi Jia Liu is a chariot and horse pit where many horse remains were unearthed. This site confirms the historical regulation that emperors used six-horse chariots, while feudal lords used four-horse chariots. The museum is very small and can be explored in 10-30 minutes. It's a quiet place with very few visitors. However, the ticket costs 30 RMB, so I recommend visiting only if you're genuinely interested in this piece of history. On the other hand, if the Luoyang Museum doesn't require an entrance fee, you can use the Tianzi Jia Liu ticket to gain free entry. But keep in mind that the two locations are quite far apart, so you'll need to take a taxi. 😅
