Munich - real hidden European gem!

#centraleurope We spent 3 really amazing days in Munich and I’m ready to share my experience Day 1: try best coffee in central Europe (I also was surprised) My 3 top coffee places are: “Man vs Machine” “Sweet spot kaffee” “Suuapinga - specialty coffee” Day 2: Rezidenz München This is a large formal royal palace in the middle of Munich and is the largest city palace in Germany. We started at the Hofgarten on the north side thinking there would be an entrance to the museum there but it turns out the entrance is on the south side underneath a small arch near Max-Joseph-Platz. The highlights of the Residence Museum are at the beginning and include the Ancestral Gallery and Antiquarium. There is a lot to see in these two large and ornately decorated rooms. We really enjoyed the start of the museum because each room seemed to get grander and grander. I would suggest to buy the tickets in advance. There’s a long queue at the entrance since they control the number of visitors. Day 3: Go to BMW museum: If you're a BMW fan we are sure you would love this museum. We weren't but felt it was worthwhile checking out a car museum while in Germany considering all the big brands that come from Germany. We also saw that it was near Munich's Olympic Park area and felt that it was also worth checking out. The cost to enter is 14 euros and there is a reduced price of 8 euros for students and seniors. There are cafes on site, BMW headquarters are nearby and the BMW Welt is connected by a walkway. It is also a short walk to the Olympic Park from the BMW Welt and that area was very nice during our visit in June. There are free lockers to put belongings in, plenty rest rooms and it didn’t feel too crowded.
