12 Days in Nagoya

Nagoya gave me 12 unforgettable days filled with food, culture, and little surprises at every corner 🍜🍣 I kicked things off wandering around Sakae where the futuristic Oasis 21 glowed at night, and of course I treated myself to a slice of Harbs’ legendary fruit cake 🍰🍓 so fresh and light it felt like eating clouds; then came the sizzling Japanese beef BBQ where the wagyu practically melted on the grill, followed by cozy comfort at CoCo Curry 🍛 where I played around with spice levels until I found the perfect kick. I spent afternoons strolling through Osu Shopping Street with its quirky shops and street snacks, and evenings at Hama Sushi 🍣 where plates of salmon, tuna, and even seasonal specials rolled by on the conveyor belt like edible treasures; I made time for Nagoya Castle 🏯 with its golden shachihoko gleaming in the sun, and Atsuta Shrine ⛩️ where the peaceful atmosphere balanced out the city buzz; a day trip to Inuyama brought me to one of Japan’s oldest castles and the sweet, nutty taste of gohei mochi 🍡; I geeked out at the Nagoya Science Museum 🔭 with its massive planetarium dome, and wrapped things up with last-minute shopping at Nagoya Station’s underground malls 🛒 before sneaking in one final slice of cake because why not 😋; Nagoya may not always be the first stop on everyone’s Japan itinerary, but between the food, the history, and the easygoing vibe, it’s a city that rewards you if you slow down and savor it
