Mongolia, Between the Sky and the Earth

Traveling to Mongolia felt like stepping into another world. Walking, resting, and gazing in the endless grasslands, where horses outnumber people and the only sound is the whisper of the wind, was an otherworldly experience. Spending a night in a yurt (ger), listening to the wind and falling asleep under starlight, was more precious than any hotel stay. The salty milk tea and mutton I had on the grasslands, along with the rustic yet heartwarming local cuisine, left a lasting impression. The grandeur of the Chinggis Khan Equestrian Statue is beyond words, and the sunset over the Elsen Tasarkhai Desert was breathtakingly beautiful. Mongolia is a place to live slowly, breathing in harmony with nature, rather than rushing through a packed itinerary. A journey to step back from the complexities of the world and rediscover your true self. Mongolia left a deep mark on my heart. 📍Tsonjin Boldog, Gobi Desert, Terelj National Park, and more.

August 15, 2025 Our Mongolia road trip started and ended in Hailar. It was rainy both days, and we only saw brief sunny skies above the equestrian statue of Genghis Khan. Dragon and Phoenix New World, located on the side of the square, was a great place to hide from the rain. Once the rain subsided, Genghis Khan Square was surprisingly photogenic. Wild ducks, people, and butterflies adorned the clear waters, and the reflections on the curved bridges made the water as transparent as a mirror. The rainbow bridge over the water was also quite ingenious. Occasionally, you could even look up and see airplanes soaring in the sky. It was a perfect spot for tourists and residents alike to enjoy themselves!
