Okinawa Self-Driving Family Tour

This time, I used TripAdvisor to book my accommodation and car rental. 🚗About the car rental: I originally searched for a rental car website on my own, but after repeated attempts, I received no response. Finally, I chose TripAdvisor. The rental company contacted us before the trip, which gave me peace of mind. They also offered great deals during promotions! 🏠Accommodation: The family-run inn near Churaumi was cozy, with spacious rooms. Best of all, it was affordable and a great value. 😆 I had originally thought I wasn't used to driving in Japan and would just take public transportation, but in the end, when planning my trip, I decided that driving was more convenient, allowing me to visit more places and save time. On the first day, I arrived at the airport. The rental company provided a shuttle to pick up the car. We then headed straight to Churaumi Aquarium and stayed nearby for the night. On the second day, we stopped by Kouri Island and then headed south, arriving at American Village in the afternoon. We drove back to Kokusai-dori for our nighttime stay. Even if I didn't want to drive, I could still have dinner nearby and enjoy some shopping! There are plenty of parking lots within Kokusai-dori, so there was no need to worry about finding a spot. For the rest of the trip, we departed from Kokusai-dori every day, which was very convenient. We were close to sightseeing and shopping spots like Okinawa World, PARCO CITY, and Shurijo Castle! Throughout the entire trip, my family and I agreed that self-driving was incredibly convenient! Free parking was available at many locations, allowing for more in-depth exploration without being restricted by time, giving us more freedom. And best of all, visiting Okinawa in the summer meant we didn't have to wait outside in the sun for the car. The car itself had air conditioning. 😆 It was my first trip to Okinawa with my family, and we saw so many ocean views 🏖️ and sunsets 🌇, leaving behind wonderful memories. #Okinawa #Japan #SelfDrive
