But it is full of colors, warmth, and cuteness on every corner. From the moment I stepped foot at Kansai Airport, I felt like I had entered a new world full of excitement and happiness. This city never disappoints me. ⸻ Easy to travel, fun every step of the way Getting around Osaka is very easy with the super clean and punctual train system. I used my ICOCA card to top up and travel around the city once. The English signs are clear, so I didn’t have to worry about getting lost. Seeing the locals’ lives through the train windows made me feel more connected to the city. And the smooth transportation made my day of travel much more enjoyable. ⸻ Osaka Food: Happiness in Every Bite Osaka is a food lover’s paradise! “Takoyaki”, round balls with crispy outside and soft inside, filled with fresh squid, topped with sweet and salty sauce and mayonnaise. This is a menu that I have eaten many times because it is so delicious. “Okonomiyaki” is a Japanese pizza dish that mixes vegetables and meat with a special sauce. The taste is rich. Eating it hot makes you feel warm. “Kushikatsu” is a variety of fried food on a stick, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Dip it in Osaka's special sauce. It is a menu that you can't stop eating. Desserts such as green tea soft cream and Japanese crepes filled with fresh fruits and soft whipped cream also make me smile every time I eat it. ⸻ Cute shopping and cafes Shinsaibashi and Americamura are full of trendy fashion shops and cute cafes. I strolled through Don Quijote, which has a wide variety of items to choose from. From quirky sweets to cute collectibles that melt your heart. Each cafe has its own style and cuteness. Some are decorated in sweet pastel colors, while others are cute and vintage. I like to sit and sip green tea and fresh fruit cake in a small, warm and peaceful shop, like taking a break from the big city. ⸻ Dotonbori: Neon lights and laughter At night, Dotonbori is filled with bright neon lights reflecting off the canal water. I stroll along the canal with a hot takoyaki in my hand and take a photo with the giant Glico sign, the symbol of the city. The atmosphere here is filled with happiness, laughter, and smiles from the people, making me feel like I am in a fun and warm world. ⸻ Quiet parks and shrines Even though Osaka is a big city, there are still quiet parks and shrines where I can rest my mind. I like to walk in the shady parks, listen to the birds singing, and stop by the original shrines to pray.
