Even though some areas are temporarily closed for restoration, the remaining spaces exude a solemn and sacred atmosphere, compelling visitors to tread lightly. Climbing the bell tower (advance reservation required) offers a breathtaking view of Paris, with the Seine River winding gracefully in the distance. The most delightful surprise was the "Notre-Dame Cats" outside the cathedral—several leisurely stray cats basking in the sun on the square, adding a touch of life to this historic monument.
