Free and uncrowded! Qinhuangdao Luohandong Great Wall Hiking Guide

The Luohandong Great Wall was built in the 25th year of the Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty (1546 AD) and is part of the Ming Jizhen Great Wall. It is named after the two arched gate openings on the wall that once housed statues of the Eighteen Arhats. 🥾 Recommended Hiking Route Recommended loop: Jielingkou → Luohandong → Paoqiang → Shibeigou → Jielingkou Total distance: about 18-20 kilometers 🚗 You can drive directly to Luohandong Village and park at the foot of the Great Wall. The ancient wall is rustic, with signs of weathering and battle scars all over. The viewing openings on the wall serve as natural photo frames! Great for pictures~ After the hike, be sure to try the old-brand Wangji Big Pancake Wrapped Meat in Taiying!
