Hohensalzburg Fortress 🏰

We visited Hohensalzburg Fortress 🏰☀️ on a bright summer day, and from the moment we stepped off the funicular, we felt the air change cooler, wider, and full of sky. We walked along the old stone walls together, stopping at every lookout to point out little red rooftops, church towers, and the river winding through Salzburg far below. We couldn’t stop saying, “Look at that.” We explored slowly through echoing halls, sunlit courtyards, and tiny museum rooms filled with armor and old maps. We lingered on a quiet bench near the top, sharing a bottle of water and just sitting in the sun. The mountains stretched behind us, the city shimmered below, and for a while, we didn’t talk we just took it all in.
