The scenes in "One Thousand and One Nights" are real. Samarkand is undoubtedly the most beautiful city in Uzbekistan.

It was destroyed by Genghis Khan's cavalry in 1220. Later, Timur the Great established his capital here, captured the best architects and craftsmen from the conquered countries, and built a series of mosques, madrasas and mausoleums. Most of the magnificent buildings we see today have been restored during the Soviet era. In addition to the skills of Timurid craftsmen, they also reflect the bold imagination of modern craftsmen. The center of the city is the Registan Square, which is formed by three madrasas. Starting from here, we walked past the Bibi Hanim Mosque, Hazrat Khir Mosque, and finally arrived at Shah-i-Zinda, the attraction I was most looking forward to. Shah-i-Zinda means "the immortal husband". The mausoleum complex of women and nobles of Timur's family is decorated with blue tiles and patterns on the mausoleum avenue. It changes into a variety of colors such as royal blue and azure blue at different times, which is solemn yet romantic.
