🌸 Exploring the Jiangnan Region – Nanjing, Wuxi, Suzhou & Shanghai in 6 Days!

Just wrapped up an amazing whirlwind trip across Nanjing, Suzhou, Wuxi, and even managed to cover a good chunk of Shanghai — all without the kids this round! 🎉 Without strollers and snack stops, we saw and did so much more than expected. 😄 ⸻ 🗓️ Our 6-Day Itinerary: 📍Day 1 (Nanjing): • Historical stroll through Zhongshan Ling, Linggu Scenic Area, Meiling Palace & Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum • Night vibes at Confucius Temple area 📍Day2 (Nanjing → Suzhou): • Morning at Jiming Temple & Xuanwu Lake • Afternoon exploring Suzhou’s Net Master Garden, Canglang Pavilion, and a food hunt along Shiquan Rd & Guangqian St 📍Day 3 (Wuxi → Suzhou): • Scenic ferry + lake views at Yuantouzhu • Wandered through Hui Shan Ancient Town • Night walk along Shantang Street (beautiful by day and night!) 📍Day4 (Suzhou): • Visited Zhuo Zheng Yuan (Humble Administrator’s Garden), Pingjiang Rd, Lion Grove Garden, Zhouzhuang Water Town, Liu Garden, and even made it to Oriental Gate 📍Day 5 (Shanghai): • Seasonal bloom at Shanghai Lavender Park • Quick stops at Xiao Shanghai Pedestrian Street & East Nanjing Road + Bund night view 📍Day 6 (Shanghai): • Chill strolls at Tianzifang & Xintiandi • Grocery run before heading home 🛍️🍲 ⸻ ✍️ Lessons Learnt & Travel Tips: ✅ Book train tickets in advance — especially if traveling on weekends (trains can get crazy full!) ✅ Avoid MRT during peak hours or weekends. You’ll enjoy the peace and even get seats on weekdays 😌 ✅ Pack your days full when taking cabs — maximize cost-efficiency by stringing nearby attractions together ✅ In June, sunrise is early! Start exploring early too, especially if you’re sightseeing by car ✅ ALWAYS book first class if you’re carrying luggage. Second class doesn’t have proper space for big bags ✅ Suzhou gardens are beautiful, but better in the morning or late afternoon when it’s cooler. Too hot there in summer! ⸻ Feeling grateful for a trip filled with history, beauty, blossoms, and freedom. Ready for the next one already 💕 #summervacay #苏州古城 #江南水乡 #chinatrip #shanghaiwithoutkids #traveltipschina #lavenderparkshanghai #suzhougardens #zhouzhuang #confuciustemplenanjing #nanjingitinerary #wuxiviews #tripdotcomadventures
